A) I'd probably have Tekkaman Blade. He seemed cool enough.

B) Quinn from Sliders, where better to hide than in another dimension?

Sci fi bodyguard: Kes.

Fantasy bodyguard: Sarah Pezzini or Lobo. Ideally Lobo + a sex change + the Witchblade. Hilarity and carnage ensue.
Scenario B) In addition to the dangers of a smuggler, assume that Thrawn, the resurrected Palpatine(s), Ysanne Isard, the Hutts, Borsk Feilya, and even Talon Karrde will all decide at one point or another that you need to be captured because of your friendship with Q.
Sci fi bodyguard: Preferably Kes. Annorax would do too. I'd have him give me the specs, and rig that weapon onto a Wars ship (I'm assuming that generating the power for it is relatively simple for Wars tech). One shot at Coruscant, one at Nal Hutta, anywhere else I need. After the first shot they won't even remember who I am.

Fantasy bodyguard: Lobo. I'll give him Slave 1 and tell him my enemies get off on torturing dolphins. Bye, Palpatine.

scenario B) have no idea. Maybe John Murdoch from the end of Dark City. Someone with vast telekinetic powers would be very helpful here.
He'd need the Strangers' machine. But I would hesitate to fuck with someone who can create stars at will.

Scenario A) Major Motoko Kusangi (from the Stand Alone Complex anime series), especially with access to Star Wars weapons and other tech would be more than suitable for this job. Her personal cloaking ability should definately come in handy too.

Another strong candidate would be Alucard from the Hellsing anime series. He'd scare the shit out of and would easily dispose of any bounty hunter or syndicate thugs who'd dare try to fuck with me.

Scenario B) Alucard would probably still be suitable for this role. If worse came to worse and I was somehow mortally wounded in an attack on me, I would just let him turn me into a vampire and I would be fine again and he could then train me to become as powerfull as he is.

I doubt a pathetic 20th century program could do anything to a Matrix agent. This isn't Star Trek security, you know.

isn't Lobo considered immortal and thus non-eligible? Or is he just invulnerable?

Also Lobo and Sara Penzzini are in direct contradiction with this rule

It doesn't have the raw power to destroy an ISD in a "traditional" fight; it would do so through more unconventional means. Subverting the crew or the ships systems via effector, displacing something nasty into a vital area or firing down into it from hyperspace, things like that.

Oh. Pretty straightforward tactics, still. I like it. I've been developing this little sci-fi universe of my own for some time, and the more powerful races can hyperspace bombs into your engine room. Though for the most part they just use brute force - they define a capital ship as anything with a certain set of strength indices for space warfare (a set that can't be met without the firepower to explode a planet of a certain size, and a certain speed and shield strength).

The OP states it is loyal to you and only you as much as Chewie was to Han. Thus literally while not a pet, he's not going to overtly screw you.
