I don't have any problems with the "No Laser" argument - I have problems with the sad fact that most subscribers to the "No Laser" argument ignore the fact that the Empire just can use its ion cannons to disable whatever would pose a barrier for the laser cannons.

Promtp: "In a fight between the Enterprise D and a Star Destroyer near Pluto, who would win?"

Trekkie: "Easy. The enterprise d could just tractor beam the planet and use it to hit the star destroyer. Since asteroids can easily defeat star wars shields (as proven when asteroids destroyed Tie fighters in 1 shot), pluto should be more than enough to take out even the most powerful star wars stuff.

ROTFLMAO!

The kicker is that Pluto's not a planet.

Charon, not Triton. And it has recently been decided that they are really twin "planets." IIRC the current theory is that they are just deep-space debris that fell into a distant orbit (or is it renegade moons?) around the sun, and therefore not proper planets at all.
