-Playstation 2 (with extra controller, but no memory card)
-2 bags
-2 pairs of thongs (that's flip flops, jandals... whatever you want to call them)
-2 bags
-a book
-a coffee table (still unstained. My sister says she'll do it, but she won't because she's a lazy piece of poo)
-$50 and $30. My uncle and grandpa have increased the value of their gifts by $20 and $10 respectively. That's fine by me because I spent all my money on clothes, opera and anime and I have some clothes on lay-by and I need to get a memory card so I can save the game of Final Fantasy that I started this evening. I still haven't gotten anything from my dad's side of the family yet, so hopefully I'll receive some more funds.

Ah, Christmas, that time of year when you really appreciate having a large and closely knit extended family.

Sadly, I did not get Rome, Total War, but I am nonetheless satisfied with the following:

DVD's
-Gladiator
-Equilibrium
-Life of Brian
-Casablanca
-Maltese Falcon
-The Princess Bride
-Young Frankenstein
-The Complete Indiana Jones Collection (Fullscreen, sadly, but what are you going to do?)
-The Complete Expanded Edition Platinum Super-Dragon Version of Return of the King, With Chrome Wheels

Books
-"Lincoln"
-"A Seperate Peace"
-"The Civil War", by Julius Caesar, which'll go well with my copy of "The Gallic Wars"
-"The Last Legion", which could either be good or absurdly bad
-"The Burglar Who Liked To Quote Kipling"
-"Winston and Roosevelt"
-"The Constant Gardener"
-Some book about the numerical patterns of the universe, which looks interesting

I also managed to snag a Gillette Mach 3 vibrating razor (no idea why it vibrates), along with a plethora of smaller items, and, finally, an MP3 player which holds barely an hour of music, but it's all I really need.

- Band of Brothers
- DVD stand (my other ones were full!)

Santa Claus brought me so far:

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for the PS2

That 70's Show season one DVD set

Trinity and Beyond: The Atomic Bomb Movie DVD

A book on the history of the Philadelphia Philies (fun fact: a Phillies pitcher holds the all time MLB record for losses in a season--46, from an era when the season was less than 100 games long. That same pitcher accounted for 75% of the team's wins that season.)

An autographed Brian Westbrook football card, mounted in a frame

A Philadelphia Eagles fleece blanket

A Philadelphia Eagles tee shirt

A box of cigars (Dominican)

A hundred bucks for the Aspen trip

There will be more loot later from the extended family.

Books/comics:
  • Donald Duck: Treasure of the Ten Avatars (a collection of Don Rosa's
  • Donald Duck stories)
  • The Best of Donald Duck (as voted by the Finnish readership, Donald Duck is the all-time favorite comic book character here)
  • Valhalla Rising by Clive Cussler
  • New pyjamas
Other stuff:
  • Spirited Away (anime feature film DVD)
  • Four Arabia plates of the Theme series (Arabia is a Finnish company that makes plates, glassware etc)
Stuff that both me and the gf were co-recipients of:
  • A set of wine-bottle implements (cork, choker and the thingy that helps pouring without dribbles down the side of the bottle)
  • The LotR DVD Extended Edition Collection (a treat for ourselves)
  • A cooler backpack with a set of plates, glasses and eating implements
  • Assorted chocolates
  • Two books on mythology, one on ancient Greek and the other an overview into almost all ancient mythologies
  • Various toys for our cats
That's most of it anyway, we didn't get anything really useless crap, and my gf obviously got some various stuff of her own as well.

Exchange it for a Widescreen edition, as they retail for the same price. :P
