Did the Emperor betray the Sith Order?

Yes, Palpatine carried nothing about the Sith traditions, he was after personal power only!

No, Palpatine was loyal to the order, his every action was to further the power of the Sith and the Darkside.

Did the Emperor betray the Sith Order?

Post by Spartan »

Here is an idea that I wanted to run past everyone. Now we know that Darth Bane initiated the one master, one apprentice rule for Sith Lords. I believe that Palpatine betrayed the order, because he according the EU, had no intentions of full training anyone to take his place. On the other hand he did amass a large number of acolytes and adepts. He also collected large numbers of Sith artifact and lore for study.

Your thoughts (reason for of against), please?

Were any of his other adepts named Darth? No. Vader was the TRUE apprentice.

Of course he didn't train anyone to take over! Remember, he he had the CLONES of himself. He planned to rule FOREVER. Cornor Jax had other ideas, and we waved bye-bye to Palpy.

He was a classicly trained Sith who had a uniqe situation....He won. So he started to change some of the old rules that were in place only for the Sith to survive long enough to get to this place.
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red
