Boba Fett vs. The Feds

Post by Darth Garden Gnome »

Besides automaticly winning in the coolness factor (boba fett is cooler than anything that was is and ever will be star trek) hwo coudl boba down the enitre fed army? on the ground is obvious, the enitire star fleet would lose and surrender :D , but in space fett woudl have a much harder time, how would he do it? Let ssays hes on a mission from the empire to diasble the feds nerve center: it sgovernment.

Well knowing Fetts skills in espionoge/sabatoge/ect. he could enter the federation and use manipulation, politicol pressure, and down right brute force (nothing like roughin up your superioirs for a promotion) to get to the top of the politicol food chain,he woudl be a very infulential voice in the government, there he coudl do many many things:

1.) Begin convincing his superioirs to cut back on its military expenses, medical supplies, ect. and promote futher exploration into scientific areas (whatever, you know "catalouging gasous anomalies" or something) by suggesting that they are drasticly more powerful than the empire and need not waste time on barbaric military practices.

2.) Sabatage, draw up designs for "improved" warp reactors that shoudl eb fitted on each ship-but of course with a flaw one can exploit, whether it be a bomb in the system (probably not though) or some sort of weakness when hit in a specific area or when given a certain command. Make sure as many ships as possible are fitted with these new warp reactors and exploit them at the feds moment of weakness (at the begininng of a battle or whatever).

3.)Assasination, obviously just what it sounds, find the key member sof the federation, the ones that make its gears turn and kill them in the least suspisious way possible (poison is obviouly the most likely candidate for the job) and watch as the federation crumbles.

In short Fett could single handedly (ok not quite, he might have a few contacts but whatever) defeat the feds from the inside which is fine by me caus ein my opinion he already won, coolness factor prevails!

Unfortunately, I'd have to go with the Feds here. Why? Because Boba Fett is an unaltered clone of Jango. And Jango proved how disgustingly stupid he was. Let's see, an arena full of jedis and droids trying to kill one another. Friendly fire potential extremely high. There are lots of jedis who might potentially lop my head off. I could stay up on the balcony with count Dooku and be perfectly safe. Oh hell, let's just jump in and get myself killed.

Switch over to little Boba. Jedi on skiff far away, Boba could be sniping away with blaster, what does Boba do? Jet off to fight the jedi, and gets what he deserves. So, when you come down to it. Boba and Jango are both hampered by the same thing, their uncompromising stupidity. Coolness aside, these bounty hunters are both dumb as a rock. It's a good thing that the Kaminos altered the clone troopers, else they'd have all been killed.

well personally i never liked jango you got to see his face so that ruined it rite there! but while he had his lame ass fight seen with mace and got decapitated proving either A.) he is indeed a moron, or B.) he simply underestimated mace or C.) was trying to give him a challege so he woudl be distracted and get shot in the back by some droid, and failed miserably.
and BTW they only altered the clones so they would obey orders.

Boba on the other hand was trained to be better than jango and indeed was, in ROTJ he was probably trying to capture luke so he could him back to jabba after all he did wrap him in his string stuff. Or he simply underestimated him.

But in various novels and such his skill has earned him the title of the best bounty hunter in teh galaxy and he does show it and has been described earning many "impossible marks".

Naa just send Connan into the Federation
I'm not quite sure how but I'm sure he will win through in the End
After all its CONNAN
Dumb luck is my Allie and a Powerful one it is!
:D
As for the Dumb Fett Problem
Jedi on skiff far away, Boba could be sniping away with blaster,
From the Novel Fett is Order to go kill him and also The whole LightSaber Blocks Blaster's problem arrises, Sitting shooting at the Jedi from away the twenty or so Jabbah Hench men learn don't work so well
Fett had him dead to rights but silly people keep trying to Shoot Luke and he lucked out and Deflected a Blast into the Smart Rope Boba had him wraped up in(Pinning his arms and he could not get at the rope to cut it with the Light-Saber)

Jango on there other hand, That was dumb pretty much

Of course Boba's smarter than Jango. Watching your "dad" get his head chopped off is something you learn from.

I must disagree. We only know two ways off of the balcony, off of the ledge (into a mass of Jedi and battle droids), and through the tunnel. One Jedi had already come out the tunnel - there may well have been more there. Staying put next to a friendly Jedi was the smartest thing Jango could do.

The Federation might have a hard time tracking and capturing Boba Fett, but I doubt Fett could destroy the Federation. Slave I, like any SW vessel with hyperdrive, is thousands of times faster than a Federation ship using warp drive. If Fett jumped into hyperspace, they might not see him again until he's ready for more.

I agree, it will be too hard to track. Plus, even if Fett is powerful, I really doubt that he can alone destroy the federation. He ain't that mighty!

Way #3 for Jango, ignite rocket pack, leave the arena. This of course assumes that his rocket pack allows him to do it. But given its performance on Kamino, I figured that Jango could've done it.

As for Boba, kill at a distance is about as good as killing up close I should think. Seem somewhat contradictory given that all Jabba was interested in was killing the group, and then Boba decides to go face to face. It's like daddy, all Dooku was interested in was dead jedis, and Jango jumps in. Other methods might have included using the missile on his backpack (I forget, did he have one?) and hitting the skiff. Sniping at a distance with the guns they put up on Jabba's barge, etc. Ultimately, there is always the "I run away with my rocket pack" trick.

In terms of commando actions against the Feds though, he could do some serious damage. But let's be real, a single guy is not gonna be able to subvert the Feds. Boba is not a real manipulator given what we've seen so far. And considering the track record, he doesn't know when to fold, that is gonna get him killed more than anything else.

By all accounts Boba was the last Sane Business man ruthlessly measuring Cost VS Reward(All EU pictures him as this)
Problem is with the movies is all we see is his bone-headed moves and thus the problem of distored imagin

Most of the mistakes Jango made on Geonosis were correctable, except for not taking off when he saw Mace Windu charging at him. Considering that's what he did against Obi-Wan, Jango should have done the same thing. Then again, maybe his jet-pack didn't have enough fuel to take off a second time against the gravity, though it's hard to reconcile that with Dooku's ship's speed as he escaped.

It is highly probable that Jango was being paid to guard Dooku, and what he perceived as a threat to Dooku was Windu. And it is also possible he jumped in because he was afraid of what Dooku might do to him if he didn't fight. As for Boba, he probably remembered that Vader still wanted Luke, so he tried to capture him alive and then steal him away from Jabba. He probably was waiting the whole time for an opportunity to steal him away, he saw it there, and then greedily went after his bounty. Or maybe he simply wanted to disable him so that everyone could gun him down. He probably raised his blaster to stun Luke and that is why he got so close, because the stun setting on blasters could be short range only. I think he made the right move, but you'd figure he would be more careful about dying from a blind man's pole. LOL I don't think he would be able to politically manipulate people, because how would he be able to do it?! He can't all of a sudden just become a political figure! I think his best bet for doing the most damage would be to assassinate high-profile political figures. But how would he get to Earth in the Slave-1 without being detected? Unless he had a cloaking device, he couldn't, and the Feds would find him right away. Plus, he doesn't really fit in with the rest of the civilians on Earth....guy with armor and a jet pack and weapons walking around on Earth.....okay.....yeah he blends in well. If he just hyperspace in, zoomed down to Earth, dropped a seismic charge on whatever building that the Feds use for their government, zommed back into space, hyperspaced out, that might work. That would cripple the Federation because all of their politicians would be dead and they would have to elect, or whatever it is that they do, entirely new government officials. It would be as if all of Congress was suddenly blown up by some nut. The nation would be in panic. I'm not sure how well we would be able to adapt to a situation like that, like if we already have backup politicians for the Senate and House of Representatives or whatever, but it makes you wonder what would happen. The Feds would face a similar situation, I'm sure.

I think Boba would win every encounter with the Feds, but might die of old age before he could destroy it all. That or run out of ammo. Just how many seismic charges can that ship hold? Depite the relative advantages, a machine gunner can be overrun by enough spearchuckers, if they are willing to die, and there are twice as many primatives as bullets.

One other thing. How big is Boba's gas tank? It's a LONG way to the next gas station! Firing those guns has to be hell on the mileage! Just turn the AC on in YOUR car! Watch the needle fall towards E.

Speaking of air conitioners, I don't know why cars have them. Instead of blowing out cold air, the blow out some bacteria and give you a headache. Anyway, as a gunboat, Slave I probably has a large reactor, with further modification to increase range, after all, Boba Fett chases people across the galaxy.

boba Fett would have the energy to last quite a while fighting feddies, although he probably coudlnt kill the 1000-1500 ships in the fed fleet he could do some seroius damage, with that rapid fire laser hes got 2kt blast firing 600 times a minute (ref wongs aotc page) he could cause problems all over add his blaster guns, protorps, mines and youve got your self a formidable enemy. As for infiltrating fed space boba installed stealth gear to make him invisible on sensors.
