This is something that I have been thinking on about trek>It seems the Qand Prophets have the same attitude about the Federation the Dont Give A Damn .I mean face it Q and the Prophets could care less about a Federation -Imperial war >The Q could have helped during theBorg attacks and Domminion war but didn`t.The only reason the Prophets helped was Siscko basically beeged for help from them also the fleet WAS in the Woemhole they havent done anything like it again .So in my opinion they wont help the Federation if it does fight the Empire they will only see it as humans fighting humans.

I have to agree with that. Its pretty obvious that the Q and the Bajorans won't get involved in a major conflict. When Trekkies say "Well the Q will get involved", thats just wishful thinking. Aside form the fact that the Q and the Bajorans are probably the ONLY way the Feds can beat the empire, the stories told so far point to a very strict noninetrference policy by both aliens and I think it fits. Why would beings so obviously far more advanced than humanity really give towo shits about what happens to us? Whenever they get involved its because there is some secret agenda working behind the scenes, not because of any altruism on their part.

About the only realistic intervention would be that seen in Mike Wong's fanfic, with a cryptic condescending warning.

of course Picard would survive the conflict ( Q seems to like HIM ), but we don't know if he is still a captain after the conflict.

Who thinks Q would like the Empire MORE? Because they are more human than the Federation. I think this is more likely.

The Prophets only destroyed the fleet because they knew Sisko was serious about fighting to the death to slow them down. They'd likley do that again. But Sisko is now with the Prophets, makeing that Irrelevant.
