US true goal: spread of radical Islam?

Post by Kane Starkiller »

Has anyone stumbled upon Hirhome maintained by Francisco Gil-White?
Long story short he has some pretty wild ideas about US-Iran relationship and it's goals:Link.
Now these are some lengthy articles but I will try to sum up the main point:

The true goal of US was not so much to secure oil in the Middle East but to ensure that radical Islam spreads throughout Islamic world thereby destabilizing Asia or more specifically China, India and Russia all of which have sizeable Muslim population next to or inside their borders. To support it the site cites Afghan taliban being used against Soviet Union.
The greatest enemy to the US plan was Iraq which, although it had a brutal government, it was secular which directly opposed US plans. Therefore they sold weapons to Iran during the Iraq-Iran war, paid 5 billion dollars supposedly for the hostages, and later launched two wars against Iraq completely devastating the country which directly benefited Iran and the spread of radical Islam. After crushing Iraq the public is deliberately being told how much the war was a mistake and how much the government lied to create a overwhelming support for abandoning Iraq. This way the US withdraws and gives Iraq to Iran on a silver plate all seemingly unintentional even though every action of US 30 years back has helped Iran.

In this article Gil-White claims that true intentions behind the current pressure against Iran is actually to get the international community to pressure Israel to relinquish it's own nuclear weapons.
Then he goes on to claim that the true goal of US policy is the destruction of Israel (proven by US forcing Israel to recognize PLO in the West Bank and Gaza Strip even after defeating it) while the mutual public decrying of Iran and US is no different than in late 70s and early 80s when US was secretly supporting Iran.

Now I'm not saying I agree with this. Just wanted to see what people more knowledgeable about the situation have to say about it. I urge you to first read the articles since my "synopsis" here is not the real thing.

I thought the goal of the neo-cons was to start the glorious class warfare that will lead to the end of Democracy and free enterprise in the United states, ushering in a stalinist government....

Sounds like a bunch of tin foil hattery. Some parts really stuck out though. In the examples this guy brings up to support his argument such as the U.S. support of the anti-Soviet Mujahadeen, the U.S. support of Iraq during the Iran/Iraq war and the later weakening and subsequent overthrowing of the Baathist goverment are examples of short-sightedness by the U.S not some grand conspiracy to strengthen Iran and Islamism.
I wonder if this guy realises that radical Islam would backfire on the U.S. as well. :wtf:

The fact that they've been broadly successful in spreading radical Islam not withstanding, I honestly don't think they're that clever.
