Quick factoid: During the peace following the Oslo Peace accords the Palestinian GDP grew massivly, ending up with plans by Intel to open a center there for some reason or other. Come Intifada 2000, it dropped. Gee, I wonder why.

Yeah, so they can have easier access to Israeli cities to blow up buses. Yeah, sure.

Yes I'm sure that every one of those Palestian protestors was thinking that exact same thing.

Sure, twenty thousand starving arabs, who worked loyally through most of the Intifada, that just want food to feed themselves and their family(or have you missed Hamas and such comandeering food shipments?). Yes SHep, I'm sure EVERY single one of them is a terrorist, ignoring years of service.

THen why did they all vote in HAMAS, which they all knew was a terrorist organization built around the simple premise of:

"Jews Bad; KILL ALL THE JEWS!"

It's only right and proper that they're finally having to face the hard reality of their disastrous decisions after getting a free ride for so long from feckless governments and negotiators.

Why did Bush get voted in, despite everyone knowing what a dumbass he is? /bad analogy.

They made a stupid choice, is it now right for us to shell their asses when they are throwing Hamas out?

Because despite Hamas beng a terrorist organsation they did more than the PA to setup schools and hospitals in the Palestianian areas as well as bringing in food and medical aid. The Palestinians were fed up with curruption in the PA and the Fatwah Party and Hamas was basically the only viable alternative for them.

Another factoid: Those 'schools' are places where the Koran is taught and anti-Israel propaganda is dissimitated. The 'summer camps' the Hamas runs are again, all about attacking Israel.

I belive Shep has a link to some slideshow documenting the brainwashing the kids get.

Of course they are. But from the view point of a Palestinian when your child is getting no education because the schools have been shut down, what option are you going to choose? No education or a Hamas run school where they preach anti-Israel rhetoric but where your child will get to learn to read? They are literally stuck between a rock and a hard place with no easy choices and the choices they get are covered in shit.

True, I'm not sure what a solution would be. I just keep thinking back to how well they were advancing in the 90s.

Perhaps the proto-civil war between Fatwah and Hamas will erupt into an all out civil war and solve the terror problem for Israel but it will definatly butt fuck the Palestinians even more than they are now.

Yes I remember, unfortunatly Arafat and his asshat cronies fucked it all up with their greed.

Actually, when Hamas ran in the election, I believe their platform hardly touched on the destruction of Israel but focused instead on the corruption of Fatah and how the old regime had led them for years and gotten little to show for it. Achmed Q. Palestinian was more interested in jobs and schools, etc.

However, if Hamas now wants to drop that domestic infrastructure stuff and concentrate in wiping out t3h 3\/1|_ J00z then it will be a war and Israel will strike back. Here's the part that's hard to wrestle with--

--As much as I dislike and distrust Hamas, we should have held them to their campaign promises and dealt with them after the election instead of just go "Waaauuggh! Terrorists!" and cut them off, and pressure everyone else to do the same. Then Hamas can either bend over and take it like a bitch in front of their population (not likely in the Middle East) or thay can "do something for the sake of being seen doing something". With few options left, they attack Israel, and re-frame the whole problem into something they can handle easily-- stirring shit in a guerrilla war.
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

And the Nazi party made the trains run on time, and set up cheap "Strength Through Joy" (KdF) vacations for the workers, and made the German Economy boom during the 1930s due to massive deficit spending on munitions. Of course, their true aim was never concealed from the voters; all anyone had to do was read a copy of Mein Kampf, provided so kindly by the Nazi Party to Johann and Helga, or simply open their eyes to what was happening to the Jews.

And how does that refute my point that Hamas was a better option for the Palestinians than the Fatwah Party?

It's called the Fatah party. I don't mean to nitpick, it's just that Fatwah means something else entirely in the Middle East.

I don't, but you practically salivate at the thought of dead Arabs. You're just a sick fuck, but not the only one on this board. Speaking of sick fucks, Yellow Rain Man's little skit with the punchline of blowing up an Arab kid is informative, only not the way he thinks. If the fact that people vote for a bloodthirsty moron means they are fair game for mass murder, doesn't that mean Mohammed Atta and his men were justified in what they did?

Of course not, since as Michael Moore informs us, the people who died on 9/11 were citizens of a state that did not vote for Bush.

Nice logic, fucktard. By your reasoning, Israelis who are blown up are just "having to face the hard reality of their disastrous decisions after getting a free ride for so long from feckless governments and negotiators" because they vote for war criminals (like Aryan Sharon) and thugs who advocate ethnic cleansing (Uzi Landau and Effie Eitam, among others).

Whine all you want, its the truth. The evil jews don't deliberately target beachfront parties for shits and giggles. It's a well known fact that Palestinian "militants" routinely fire off their rockets at Israel from locations that are ripe for collateral damage when Israel replies with artillery fire.

And you somehow think that responding to a rocket attack with an artillery strike, itself an area weapon is less criminal? Especially when it's fired into a civilian area? The Israeli's have methods of retaliation at their disposal that cause less colateral damage, they could try using helicopters for example.

Helocopters take time to reply. By then, the militants are gone. Artillery arrives much faster.

We use helicopters to respond to rocket attacks in Afghanistan and don't seem to have any problems.
