I agree with what has beens tated above. We must first get the trekkies to accept what is canon in the SW universe. Only after we get over that unasuming road block will we be able to start an actual campaign against them...

In the canon thread that some of the guys in the strike force are posting in, some of these trekkies are casually stating that there is no canon for Trek because B&B constantly flaunt canon, can't say I blame them but how do we even the playing feild then if they are saying that there is no way the EU is cannon, yet the sky's the limit for ST......Convenient for them, huh?

I just dropped by section31 to see how the fight was going. It looks like those trekkies haven't put up much of fight yet. I guess when you guys haul out the big gun, they'll squeal like stuck pigs! lol

The one named Shadowfyre may be of help. anyone who has the title of Dark lord of the Sith on a Trekkie board can't be all that bad.

I'm waiting for the ineveitbale "laser" argument.

Ok guys, so now that the invasion has begun with the first "how do we define canon" thread.

I'd just like to ask a question. When should we move on to the next thread which will probably be the superiority of hyperdrive over warp?

That is... strange. No one over there seems to be paticularly interested in the vs topic. I expected them all to jump on it, but....
And as long as they don't accept the canon definition, we can't do anything.

I agree..it is most disconcerting.

Assuming that the "What is Canon?" thread goes no where, I think that we should just state in the beginning of all future threads that we'll be going by the official canon policies of the paramount and Lucasfilm.

So how much longer do you all think we should wait before moving on to the next thread?

I was expecting massive retaliatory strikes, perhaps we will have to draw them out with provocative thread titles (ie. Why Death Squadron could easily overrun the Federation, etc.). We should also state that the official policies towards canon will be used on our threads, good idea, Chief.

I can't claim this was the first posting of that. I had posted an argument which said basically the same thing with what we already knew of SW canon and the SWers were not happy. They were made even less happy when Lucas came out and called the EU another world and a parallel universe in the middle of the debate about it.

I'm a veteran of the SW vs. ST debates, and joined up here when I learned that the SWers were planning an invasion.

Yeah, but DumbShit is invincible because he doesn't know when to go down! Did you see the thrashing Lord Poe gave him and he still thought he won? I've been in several threads, now, and he has never been able to make a single good point, but he just reiterates his original point and doesn't even bother to attack rebutals. You should see his collision calculations, and how he kept defending them even though GAT and I were beating him down! He can never lose because he can never believe that he has lost!
