I think you're missing the point. What's he's saying is that Lucasfilm's policy validates everything, as long as it doesn't directly violate the onscreen evidence. So in other words, if some book, comic, or game says that Han decided to go to the bathroom before telling everyone that he'd lost the Star Destroyers, then he did as far as Lucasfilm is concerned, because ANH doesn't say that that Han didn't go to the bathroom.

Excuse me, but i have to say John Clark is NOT trolling. He is stating his opinion a LOT less forcefully than you two (who accuse him of trolling) are. I see a tendency for you to label anyone who disagrees with you as a troll, GAT.

In think we are forgetting who are we dealing with. After all, the Enterprise have been able to survive numerous encounters with races that have remarkable technology, but once the crew of the Enterprise fiddle with their control systems they instantly become invincible.

If you ask me, no matter what SW pushes against either E-D or E-E, the SW ship will take down the shields and do massive damage to red-shirted ensigns on the bridge. At this time the warp core will probably come close to need to be ejected or explode, but this requires energy that the ship doesn't have. At this point the E-D will split the saucer and the engine area because it carries civilians on a very well armed heavy crusier.

But then, Data will come dig through his memory banks and pull out a little known theory about changing the frequency of their phaser banks that can create a temporary shield system that can absorb energy. Then their temporary shield will absorb enough energy to allow them to expel the warp core, which explodes, and the disc-shaped explosion carries the SW ships out, while being harmless to the Enterprise. If it was the E-E then the Defiant pops out and brings a replacement warp core. As everybody celebrates this reunion, Picard spews some BS about the value of this new knowledge, but they need to be responsible in deciding who gets to use this method (meaning Starfleet and no one else).

Or at least this is what it'll be to ST writers.

You're trolling if you say something as flame-baited as " TMs aren't canon, but SW books aren't canon either" which ignores they're official, which is as good as canon unless contradicted

Warp cores are more volitile than Chernoble, sheez a power surge causes problems with it. It's alway some stupid tech problem that bring the ship close to demise (that stupid computer virus thing)

there is a small weakness in the correlian corvette. if you concetrate enough firepower on a "fin" in the central spar the ship is forced to shut down or explode

Die-wing is rebel slang for TYE-wing, which is basically a TIE cockpit with Y-wing engine nacelles in place of the panels.

I think that the Enterprise would be able to take TIE fighters, but only because their firepower is not great enough to defeat its shields. Against more heavily armed ships (ones equipped with missiles) the Enterprise would be badly outgunned.

Maybe they were, but the Enterprise could not stand up against any SW capital ships, unless they were completely unarmed or nearly so.
