Now, that's one beast of a card; it requires 2x8pin & 1x6pin connectors, and I was able to verify that my PSU supports that, but that's about the extent of my knowledge of PSU's...
I kinda suspect there's more to them than just the amount of pins, I dunno
No. It's the recommended specification. It's all you need, there's nothing else to it.
If you were asking "can my 500w PS run this?" we might be talking about amps and rails (and the answer would still probably be yes), but your 700w can definitely handle it.
Well, check you actually have 2x8 pin and 1x6 pin connectors spare. A 700W PSU should have come with more than sufficient leads for any single GPU + single CPU setup, but sometimes people buy modular PSUs (the type that you plug the leads into instead of having them permenantly attached) and then lose the extra leads. Usually though this is only a problem for mutliple video cards.

Oh, well alright then!
Guess I was worrying for nothing... Thanks mate!
Starglider, yeah, I checked - miraculously, I didn't throw the spare ones out, so I'm all good in that department. Looks like I have the exact amount of spare pins I need!
