Whedon's Astonishing run was pretty much its own thing, with only a token reference to House of M at the midway point.

Re: X-Men vs. Avengers
Quick question, ever since seeing the avengers movie, i've been trying to catch up on some of my old comic favorites like X-men, Iron Man, etc, but there are a few stories that interest me that I can't seem to find via means both legal or..... less than legal. Is there a good website that sells TPBs of older comic storylines? right now I'm trying to find the "emperor vulcan" arc from X-men, and Amazon doesn't have it.

Marvel is rather bad about keeping a good stock up on their trades (minimalsitic printing numbers, I guess). You may have to go to a non-amazon secondary seller or scour comic shops near you (if there are any).

Unfortunately the nearest comic book store is a good thirty minutes from where I live and is pretty small anyways. I doubt they'd have it. The bookstore I go to has a really crappy selection of TPBs too.

I think part of the problem with tracking down that story line in TPBs is that it was splashing about in a lot of different books. Especially when you get to the War of Kings stuff.Darksider wrote:Quick question, ever since seeing the avengers movie, i've been trying to catch up on some of my old comic favorites like X-men, Iron Man, etc, but there are a few stories that interest me that I can't seem to find via means both legal or..... less than legal. If that's the case, I'll give it a go.Majin Gojira wrote:Whedon's Astonishing run was pretty much its own thing, with only a token reference to House of M at the midway point.

Comixology has a pretty good selection. I recommend that especially if you have a tablet or smartphone with a large screen.
