I'd buy more Lego sets if the damn things weren't priced like they were cast from pure gold.

Still, I agree. They're quite neat, as are Legos in general.

Yes, I admit it - I'm big kid. :D

Simply awe-inspiring.

http://www.joereiss.net/lego/

And yours for the low-low price of $200!

I don't think any Lego kit has cost that much; even the electric train sets.
And I thought the T/I and X-Wing Models were spendy.

Damn it looks good! Damn it is expensive! Damn I can't afford it!
Cool thing. But personally I like the SW micro machines better, they're not so expensive, extremely accurate in detailing and so small you've always got a place where you can put them.

Lego's are the ultimate toy. While I'm not the biggest fan the Star Wars sets, I really love the X-Wing and TIE Intertceptor Collector's Editions.

All they need now is a Millenium Falcon Collector's Edition. That would be sweet.

Did you see the Lego model of Jango Fett at the Star Wars celebration? It was life-sized and really cool. Then they had Lego murals of many important scenes, and everyone got to help them try to make Yoda.

They should take a look at some of the serious fan-made Falcons before they make any such kit. Some of them are damned amazing. True to-scale (not like the normal Falcon kit), with lots of moving parts and features...

Compared to a minifig fleet, that Death Star is to scale

When I first came across SW lego I seriously had a fifty dollar a week habit. It's toned down now but that's more because I was more interested in the original series stuff than the new.

While the Lego may very well be the coolest toy of the past century, one doesn't need to get the Star Wars kits. I was making ties with the bog standard legos many many years ago. Same with x-wings. If you have enough lego and enough time, there's nothing you can't build.....
There is no problem to dificult for a signifigantly large enough quantity of C-4 to handle.

That Corellian Corvette is not to scale, never mind the DS. There is a ship that the Lego Corvette resembles. See Robert Brown's "Corellian Starship Taxonomy" page for smaller Corvette lookalikes and you'll have a match for the LEGO Corvette. (e.g. Hunter, Cutter, etc...)

That looks cool, we need a SD lego ship. I used to make ST ships out of legos, they looked pretty good considering I was 8 at the time.

Yeah, I was thinking of trying to add the missing bits to make it actually look like the Tantive IV...it's frustrating, because on the one hand it's a WEG-inspired piece of crap, but on the other hand, it's just way too cool to leave alone.

Pretty soon I'll be getting either the new Slave 1 or the Republic Gunship. I have the old Slave 1 and it's utter SHIT compared to the new one. Hopefully I'll be able to find pieces to replace the blue with green and stick Jango on a stand with the Darths and put boba in his armor in the Slave 1.

Damn, I can't find the A-wing or the Y-Wing/VaderTIE, and ever since I got RS2: Rogue Leader, I've wanted them.

Oh sweet, fan submissions on the lego homepage.

Cool, I wonder if the JS fits in there.

I like the look odf that huge Lego Technic X-Wing and the Gunship.

But anyway, the plural of Lego is Lego, not Legos which is a totally different word.

If you want to get technical, these are the proper terms:

Lego: The brand
Lego brick: The standard piece, 3 plates high
Lego plate: The short pieces; 3 of them stack to make something as tall as brick.
Lego tile: Plates without the studs on top
Lego kit: A collection of parts that go together to make something.
Lego model: A collection of parts that go together to make a detailed, specific item (the Collectors Models, for example).
Lego bucket: A bucket of random or semi-random pieces. Can be purchased by color.
Minifig: The little Lego people.
