He can live off the Senate presidency budget that funds him up here. And that’s fine. But if he’s going to be funded in the executive branch, he complies with the rules that apply to everybody. He is not above the rules of the executive branch.

Now that's some brass balls, threatening to just cut off the funds to the guy who appears to be running this Presidency.

Goddamn, its refreshing to see someone within the US government to take a hardline against the gang in charge. Is it sad though that I have little hope of anything coming of this, other than this man's reputation being blasted as his amendment dies on the floor?

Legislatures SHOULD BE big deals. If they're willing to grow a spine and actually, oh I dunno, USE THEIR POWER rather than bow to the Executive, good on them.

I never said or implied that the legislative branch is not the primary arbiter of power in this country. I would think that, were someone to think I said this, they'd also think back to everything I've ever said about politics here and wonder if my apparent support of an all-powerful executive was consistent with my other positions.
