Well, the collapse of the dollar does at least have the considerable advantage of halting the destruction of American industry by making our exports more competitive.

Also, the sooner the bottom falls out of the dollar, the sooner we'll be forced to go back to a gold standard, which will be the only way to maintain a functioning economy during the twin crises of peak oil and global warming.
