Disney DVD: DuckTales, Rescue Rangers, Gummi Bears News...

Post by Spanky The Dolphin »

I've got some news concerning three upcoming DVD releases from Disney, courtesy of TV Shows on DVD.

First up, Adventures of the Gummi Bears, Volume One:
We told you it was coming a few weeks ago, but now it's official - The Gummi Bears will be released on November 14! The 3 disc set will include 47 episodes - all the episodes for seasons 1-3 (don't forget that these episodes are half the length of "normal" episodes). That's a lot better than we were expecting, and Disney has kept the price down; just $34.99 US, or $37.99 CAN.

Next, Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers, Volume Two:
Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers - Pilot Episodes included in Volume 2!

That's right, the first 5 episodes (which were missing from volume 1) will be included in the second volume of Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers when it's released on November 14, the date we previously reported. The 3 disc set will include the 5-episode pilot, as well as episodes 29-51. The suggested retail price is $34.99 US and $37.99 CAN.

And finally, the best for last, DuckTales, Volume Two:
DuckTales - Treasure of the Golden Suns included on Volume 2

The 5 part pilot, Treasure of the Golden Suns (which were missing from volume 1) will be included in the second volume of DuckTales when it's released on November 14, the date we previously reported. The 3 disc set will include the 5-episode pilot, as well as 19 other episodes (picking up where volume 1 left off). The suggested retail price is $34.99 US and $37.99 CAN.

Hah! About time.

And thanks to Disney, I shall be getting DuckTales for free. Huzzah.

Sadly, we won't get to good 'ol GizmoDuck until the fourth DVD release.

I had the ducktales nintendo game, AND the Rescue Rangers game.

RR was probably one of the toughest games to beat I've ever played.

On the Ducktales pilot: Well, it !Q$@W^ took you long enough, eh Disney? And while I'm happy for this, I still discouraged by the lack of further news on the Gargoyles: Season Two, Volume Two set...

Well that's simple: you Gargoyles fans fucked yourselves over by keeping your grubby hands on your downloaded episodes and not buying the damn sets.

Really.

Did I ever download Gargoyles episodes? Never. 8)

Anyway, even if the last set doesn't get released, at least I've got the Avalon trilogy and David Warner's final performance as the Archmage; that's what mattered to me. God, I love his voice...
