Why are there humans in the Ori galaxy?

Post by Rye »

I don't know if I missed the episode that explained this, but why?

I find all these humans as a bit annoying, personally, we have to rely on the Unas or one-off aliens for variation and they're pretty rare. Why aren't the main followers of the Ori all like Narns, Vorlons or something? Also, what's the out of universe writer's intent, do you think?

Perhaps the Ori simply had a large contingent of followers before their split with the Ancients, so they took them with them to their galaxy in exchange for promise of the knowledge of Ascension? I don't think any particular episode's explained it yet.

Considering the Ancients (both lines, Altarians and Ori) started off as near-human, it's not that surprising.

They created creatures they knew they can control.

Also, it's entirely possible that as former humans, that the worship of other species wouldn't empower them any.

The reason? The same reason why theres so many humans in the Milky Way. Because he Orii made them in their own image. Just like the ancients did.

A possible in universe explanation as to why they do this is that they want to spread life around the universe, doing it with a slightly less advanced version of themselves makes sense. The people won't be scared of them when they encounter them as they look the same, and theres is less likely to be some sort of revolt, especially if they appear to be benevolent.

Not possible, they created all the life in the Milky Way millenia before the last of the ancients ascended. Or else why make the Dakara device, when you can do it with the wave of a hand?
