Yeah! I bought a new car!!

Post by TrailerParkJawa »

Its raining like crazy here, so I figured that would be the best time to test drive a Subaru. I liked it, the price was right, the color was my 2nd choice so I'm going to pick it up tomorrow.

I bought an Subaru RS Sport Wagon for 200 under invoice, plus a 500 dollar rebate from Subaru. Yeah!

I've never bought a new car. All of mine were used (oops, I forgot to use modern corporate double-speak; they were "pre-owned").

So you're a lesbian now? :P

Good for you. May it live long in the land of smog.
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

This is my 2nd new car. If I keep it as long as my Civic, I won't be shopping for another car for 7-10 years. I like the bug eyed headlights on the older wagons but finding one used isn't easy. Hehe, I hate corporate double-speak. Used is used, nothing wrong if you find a nice one.

If I get more women as a lesbian than I do as a hetero male, then I'm all for it. We can share our granola bars in the Subaru as I save the Earth from the evils of Nike and corporate greed.

Sick. I trust you'll enjoy it; I drive a 2.5 RS, and it's pretty fucking sweet. I drive 17 every day (the whole route, from 1 to 280 and back), rain or shine, and its AWD has been a life-saver (probably literally - I'm sure I'd be dead if I was still in my Tacoma - which was a good car, but not for what I need).

My mom is going to buy a new car this spring, and she wants a hybrid, but since the waiting list is usually around 4 months, she's thinking of going with the Impreza Wagon, like yourself.
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

If made a little more money I would have given serious thought to a 05 Legacy but it runs about 3K more than I wanted to spend. The Legacy is loaded with saftey features. Thats the base model. The GT is a smoking mid-size car.

I think the Impreza wagon is a great choice for the money. I got mine for 700 below invoice, plus they are throwing in 2 season passes to Kirkwood ski resort. :-)
