Only times I mix whiskey are when I have crappy whiskey and crappy beer. When combined they make an ok depthcharge.
By next morning I can say it was the last one that sunk me. :P

while we're talking beershoots, have you had an Irish Car Bomb?

half a pint of guiness with a mixed shot of bailey's irish cream, Jameson's Whiskey and Kahlua dropped in. It'll knock your fucking socks off. I was drinking those at my batchelor party. the results were... entertaining.

That's because Jack Daniels is disgusting shit that college students think will make them look bad-ass if they drink it.
Col. Crackpot wrote:Jack Daniels, especially if i'm mixing it with something. It's pretty damn good with ginger ale. Knob Creek and Maker's Mark are pretty good too. If i have money to piss away frivolously then Johnny Walker Blue.
Ginger ale mixes well with a lot of stuff. Captain Morgan's and ginger ale is exceedingly good. You literally cannot taste the alcohol; the ginger ale just gets a nice little bite. You'll be drunk off your ass before you know it.

The very same. Belushi, though, can drink whatever he wants. It's a privilege of dying from speedballing.

Glenmorangie Port Wood Finish, 12 years old. My one true love.

Of course I can't really justify this for casual drinking, so I usually go with Marker's Mark. That stuff puts hair on your ass and sets fire to the back of your throat.

Can't really go wrong with glen(insert preferred), but that stuff isn't for binge drinking.

Jack Daniels is a classic. but for those of you on a budget who like Jack try out Ezra Brooks it is virtually the same thing and everyone I have introduced to it think it is better than JD. As an added bonus it has a corked top(but not like wine of champane) instead of the screw top that JD does.

edit- forgot to add Crown Royal is also great if a bit pricey.

My favorite would be Old Whiskey River. A friend of mine gets this stuff and it is great. It goes down really smooth, and leaves a nice warm sensation.

The legal age on the mainland is 20, but the legal age on Okinawa is however old you are before you can speak a little Japanese and have access to moderate sums of cash.

Canadian/Rye: Canadian Club, Crown Royal
Irish: Jameson
Scotch: Chivas, Glenfiddich, Glenlivet (French Oak). Bell's ain't bad.

Always neat (except for CC). Never tasted a good Bourbon.

When in Glasgow, I was shocked to find I was one of a very few scotch drinkers. Scotch seemed to fall way behind beer especially, but also wine, assorted cocktails...

Being a good Irish man i only drink Black Bush or Old Dublin. I've never considered whiskey something i'd drink for pleasure, just to get smashed in the most sophisticated way possible.

Personally, I'm more of a tequila connoisseur, but I don't mind JD Black Label on occasion. Other than that, maybe some scotch.

My drink of choice is chilled Stolichnaya, either straight up or with tonic, but I'm not opposed to some Maker's Mark or Seagrams VO straight.

He who loves the chilled Stoli is a wise man who deserves nothing but blessings, particularly blessings with a Russian accent.

GlenFidich, GlenLivit

And that's about it, other than Drambuie (whiskey mixed with honey and spices) and Uisge-via (Sp) Lit: 'Water of Life' Whiskey mixed with spices supposedly straight from Ireland. Had it only twice, both at SCA events, from the same gentleman.
