They both got some rough housing under their belts. Kirk has that ripped shirt incredible hulk thing going, but Solo isn't afraid to hit below the belt.

ps greedo shooting first was a bad idea.

Yeah, because Han would win hands down in a gunfight. He's not bad in a fist fight, either, but I think he's better at shooting than actually bashing peoples brains in.

With weapons:

Han Solo draws first and fast but misses Kirk and hits a Red Shirt in the wrong place at the wrong time, possibly because he never watched TOS and thinks the Red Shirt is a command officer in this case, it's an easy mistake to make. Kirk then fires his phaser at Solo and Solo is vaporized.

Fist fight:

Flying kicks and standard issue Starfleet two fisted blows are the deciding factor.

Re-adjust your fight, assume three mintue fight minium time

Kirk takes Han in a fist fight, cue that ST fist fight music, substitute the overweight bald stunt double and Han doesn't stand a chance.

In a firefight Kirk will probably go down. He will yell a few expletives when the firepower of Han's heavy blaster pistol starts tearing huge chunks out of the walls where they're fighting and Kirk has to fire that phaser with the weak little whine.....

Considering hand phasers at the right setting can make meter sized holes in rock walls and vaporize people I wouldn't imply that it is in any way inferior to Han's blaster.

But its fired alot slower and as you say on the right settings, which they may or may not have done ahead of time

Seriously though I imagin a knock out drang-down fight, With one mintue of shooting at each other then Kirk Charges Solo, knocks the blaster from his hands and cue ST fist-fight music

After that its anybodys guess

Ripped shirt Kirk is essentially invulnerable. The worst Han could do is make him bleed that little drop out of the corner of his mouth which Kirk would wipe away and look at after he wipes up the floor with Han, after all in one of the novels, Kirk's fighting style is known as space karate - can ya beat that?

With weapons, Solo takes it because of the vastly superior characteristics of his blaster over any phaser weapon.

Without weapons, assuming seriousness, Solo takes it. If we are counting character shields, it depends on which era of Kirk. If its TOS and his shirt rips, its all over. If he's in a movie-era unrippable shirt, he's doomed.

I would have to go with Han Solo on this one. Han is a better shot, can fight in a barroom brawl and can really take a beating (the torture he reseaved on Cloud City)
