I don't know where she got the idea that smiling=whoring. She should watch the Discovery channel and The Learning Channel; people become much more attractive just by smiling. In fact, she doesn't actually have to smile with her mouth. Just crinkling up the edges of her eyes (smiling with her eyes, you could say) would get the full effect and make her look more trustworthy and more friendly to boot. Smiling is a good way to make a good impression or put others at ease. I don't see why it would be considered "whoring" to ask her to smile in a picture. It's not like we asked for b00bi3s or anything.

She wasn't saying that smiling was whoring. That was directed by Arthur_Tuxedo's comment about the lack of b00bees in her pictures and she was completely justified in saying it.

The comment was a joke. I'm not saying that it's anyone's fault but mine that people misinterpreted it, but it was neither serious nor a "joke" that reflected an actual opinion.

In regards to CrimsonRaine's comments...

I can only speak for myself, but between a girl that makes her face look as best as she can and shows only that and a girl who shows off everything but whose isn't as pretty, the pretty girl will get my vote.

And a smile adds a lot to a cute face.

I only wish I could speak for others, too. Unfortunately, I don't know how many else will use the same criteria.

Maybe I should justify myself a bit here. I can see some people really missed the point I was trying to make earlier.

Smiling does not, by any means, equal whoring. Whoring is when you purposely take risque shots of yourself naked or in your underwear just for the sake of cock-teasing and that happened. I am not meaning to call Fey or Namarie a whore here, either. I just felt they took those kinds of pictures on purpose, not to show their beauty, but to appeal to prick thinking. Whether or not this was their intention or not, I don't care. It obviously will swing the voters, especially those not speaking up to defend their honor.

Secondly, I really appreciate the compliments I've received on my pictures.

Would you believe that I often don't think I'm that attractive?

Anyway, I know that I don't smile in pictures, mainly because I really, really don't like the way it looks. My mouth is pretty small on my face and I just think my smiles look very fake on camera. I wanted a more natural beauty (even though I do realize that second one does look pretty.. morose).

Hopefully that explains more.

No one was encouraging you to post risque pics. If you think I was, then you misunderstood me. But I don't see why it should come as a surprise or sore point that, given two equally pretty candidates, the flirtatiousness of the pic would be used as a tiebreaker.

Sorry, but in my opinion, you're way out of line. Those pictures you mentioned above were beautiful, not just for the sake of being risque. Hey, if you're uptight about others showing their bodies off a bit fine. But like it or not, you are tossing around veiled insults that seem largely due to your insecurities, not the other girls' natures.

I played JV Lacrosses for awhile, before I decided I didn't like getting hit with sticks and my Eagle Scout would make up for having two extra-curriculars vice 3 on college apps.

As for Hockey....

I have no sense of balance. My ass hits the deck everytime I get on the ice.

Toronto's located on the shore of Lake Ontario, your lake is a puny little pond in comparison. According to this site the humidity where you live is only in the 20s during the summer months, whereas in Toronto it's in the mid to high 50s during the daytime. And smog? Take a look here, and it gets a lot worse than that when the temperature's above 30 degrees. When it's that hot we have an orange-brown haze and you can't see the the CN tower from the vantage point of that picture.

Jesus, fuck. I'm thinking I may drop out of this whole fucking thing just because there's too much drama. All this arguing about whether we're slutty or not, or if we're just being comfortable with our bodies, or whatever the hell was said is just silly in my opinion. This is supposed to be a contest, people. It's supposed to be fun. Lighten up for fuck's sake. In the end this whole thing doesn't even matter. You're 100% right bohemianfey, none of this shit is constructive. In future picture rating threads, we will have to enforce stricter moderating policies to prevent this sort of thing.
