Trailer for what movie?

So I went to see Transformers, and there is a trailer, one of the longer ones that is bugging the heck out of me. See for the whole trailer they never got around to what it was a trailer for.

The trailer is from the point of ciew of a camcorder at a going away party for 'Rob' who is th cameraman's 'main guy'. Then the lights flicker and there is a news report of a 'loud animal like roar' which we don't get to hear. Everyone runs outside and sees an explosion complete with a car that flips by. Trailer ends. At no point did the give any hint what movie this was for.

If I knew it was going to bug me like this I would have written the release date down as that's about the only info we're given.

Does anyone know what movie this is a trailer for? I've been hunting through trailer lists and haven't found it yet.
