Trailer before transformers???

Did anyone else here in the states see a trailer before Transformers, or any other new movie that involved a hand held cam during a party with what looks like a meteor strike, loud angry roar and flinging of debris and monument heads?

Anyone got info on this movie. I'm thoroughly interested. The only thing they give other than the "raw" footage is the date of 01/18/2008.

The people over at Trek Movie seemed to further specify that the untitled movie's codename is "Cloverfield" in full.

I think the only thing more awesome than that teaser was the trailer for I am Legend. If the majority of "Cloverfield" will indeed be presented through home video cameras, it should make for an interesting effect.

That damn preview was just annoying, taking the teaser to new lows. A teaser at least normally gives you a title.

I had never seen a Die Hard Movie before my pre Die Hard 4 Marathon, and I have got to say, seeing the line on busses without contex is quite odd, I was like "What are they selling? The Bible Line was also confusing. I thought They were selling ads for an EXTREME church or something.

Because he has enough pull in the fanboy fucktard community that he can create a shitload of bad press and if not ruin, at least put a sizable dent in boxoffice returns. Their TV section is pretty good, though.

Because he's a wanking fanboi, and so others like him gravitate towards him as a sort of figurehead for their like-mindedness.

Actually, I lie. People don't gravitate towards Harry Knowles because of that. They gravitate towards him because of the immense gravitational force created by his girth, and then they enter a stable orbit around his person. This is how he recruits others to write for his website.
