The Last Seven Survivors aren't actually anybody specific in the order I specified.
Instead, total fiat specifies who will survive and their stories:
1) Stark was levelheaded and cool during the entire process. Stark rationed her food and survived with a minimum of emaciation.
2) The Vortex Empire, master verminhunter, ate like a king on blind rock salamanders.
3) Kuja managed to scavenge up the wrecks of the blobbed up food from the kitchens.
4) Rhoenix Rhoeniksson the Hunter hunted for some tunnel worms with his crossbow.
5) Sheriff Loomer pulled rank to get foodstuffs first. Loomer is now the leader of the expedition.
6) Ar-Adunakhor foraged for plants in the wilderness, leaving with the 6 others as they left the burning fortress. (It caught on fire somehow, everyone blamed Civil War Man again).
7) Fnord. He made some cheese.
Immigrants will be suitably pulled out of a hat! Screw order, that just encourages people not to post until I catch up to the beginning! Instead, dice will determine it!
These Intrepid Immigrants will have their skillsets altered a little in order to fit with a new starting party:
=Stark remains the same but loses his military training, since it's been so long since he's sparred.
=Loomer gets a few conversational skills from taking over the fort after Covenant was locked in a storeroom during the riots.
=Ar-Adunakhor remains the same- Herbalist + Grower
=Fnord and Vortex Empire have no skill points at all
=Rhoenix retains his hunting skills and gear (hopefully).
=Kuja has his farming skills and also his millers' ability.
Less Ideal than Before! Haha! Vortex gets to be the carpenter (no skill!) and Fnord will be a farmer (no skill!).
Loomer will learn to be a mason!
Semi-skilled start! Haha, difficulty.

As a selfish, greedy leader, I'm going to be subjected to the Noble's Curse, aren't I?

Is it too late to somehow submit my name for the next inevitable squishy doom? Because I'd love to do that.

Drooling Iguana: No, John. You are the liberals.
Phantasee: So extortion is cooler and it promotes job creation!
Ford Prefect: Maybe there can be a twist ending where Vlad shows up for the one on one duel, only to discover that Sun Tzu ignored it and burnt all his crops.

Indeed. Let's think of some missions:Zablorg wrote:I so want to be in this.
Now, in my experience, fortresses tend to become fairly bland and boring unless you have a mission to dedicate itself to. Such as making a giant rum factory or something similar. So you might want to think about doing something like that.
1) Temple to Armok, God of Blood. Built out of multicoloured stone (primarily/solely red ideally), we'll make a huge ziggurat. With a pit at the top. Where you throw sacrifices down to the bottom of the temple, where they explode into gore and chunks from the force of the fall, showering the people reveling below in gore and blood!
2) Build smaller temples to all the gods like that! Make a god of water have a large aquatic temple where it's actually glass walls and the space between the open areas is filled with water, and stock it with fish life. Have the god of fire and forging's be a huge anvil-shaped edifice suspended over a pit of molten lava (if we have any)
3) Create a giant wall surrounding the base, making a huge military fortress surrounding the civilian one, complete with retractable ballista turrets and catapult platforms and automated defense grids.
4) Build a huge, huge tower, complete with a statue of a dwarf hundreds of feet tall carved into the surface of the side by varying the room sizes, and create aerial dwarves living on the catwalks of this huge platform-city.
5) No traps! We should have only military, not cowardly weapons that spring from walls. Exceptions can be made for awesomeness like a magma waterfall that happens whenever you step through the gate unauthorizedly.
We can do all, none, or some of these
Suggest your own crazy ideas and comment on those!
EDIT: Incidentally, yes, I did in fact Google Image "Slut +Pants" for that picture.

What is Project Zohar?

I shall, utterly convinced that the world is going to flood, construct an ark. In the mine. Underground.

A fortress in revolt with a shadowy cabal leading it. Deep within the heart of an otherwise innocent fortress is an impregnable command complex, where the Rebellion plots to kill off any noble that dares enter their socialist paradise. From a room of levers that control strategically located magma vents, to secret death chambers with trap bridges, disguised as high-class dining halls.

Global Magma Floods are just as common too. The square world of dwarf fortress apparantly has highly pressurized magma beneath it.Vendetta wrote:Not that global floods are that uncommon an occurance in the annals of dwarf fortress.White Haven wrote:I shall, utterly convinced that the world is going to flood, construct an ark. Pressurized enough to now go up stairs.
What kind of boat do we build for that? Pumice?

We could devote our efforts to building the most ornate tomb in the history of Dwarfkind for our leader. Heck, our mission could be to build the Seven Wonders of the Dwarf World although what they might be I haven't the foggiest idea. The worlds deepest mine? The worlds most perfect shined gem? One can only imagine what splendid things we shall create.

Who cares about successors? Let's build me a tomb of legendary quality!

Hmm. Clearly this is too dangerous an environment to leave to a simple boat. Between floods of water, floods of magma, floods of noxious gasses, floods of noxious neighbors, plagues of demon-occupied foodstuffs...clearly the only thing that will allow the Dwarven civilization to survive is a full-fledged Reality Ark.
