Am I the only one who finds it disturbing the couple times we see Starbuck flying a Viper, blasting shit away and laughing like a deranged killer (the minseries, "33" and "The Captain's Hand")?
My opinion of her went through waves. Didn't like her until "Act of Contrition"/"You Can't Go Home Again"...her angst in season 2 was okay (understandable even), but her sudden "Ya know, Cain wasn't so bad" attitude was fucking nuts.
Season 3, her issues should have ended when Adama smacked her down in "Torn". Instead, she's back to being a fucking wreck inside of three or so episodes.
Why (nBSG) Starbuck's fucking annoying.

She was that way before Cain died; remember, when Cain said she planned on eventually heading back and taking back the Colonies, Starbuck said that was the best idea she'd ever heard.Skylon wrote:My opinion of her went through waves. Of course because it was giving her what she wanted.Uraniun235 wrote: She was that way before Cain died; remember, when Cain said she planned on eventually heading back and taking back the Colonies, Starbuck said that was the best idea she'd ever heard.
Although she is to be commended in that she was still willing to kill her on the old man's orders.

Frankly, Starbuck needs to get either rewritten or killed soon. Most of the time you see her, she's tweaking out because she doesn't get her way over something. From what I've seen, she hasn't been subjected to anything that anyone else in the rest of the fleet hasn't had to face, but yet somehow she's supposed to be special and shouldn't have to deal with this. Screw that. Put her in the middle of a broadside from a Basestar with a dead fighter and put her out of our misery.

You might get your wish. from BattlestarWiki:
At a SF convention in Indianapolis in November 2006, actress Sackhoff noted that her filming for season 3, as well as her contract, ended with episode 16, "Maelstrom," strongly suggesting that Starbuck may be the central character that may be killed during season 3 as noted by producers Moore and Eick. However, this blog entry relates that Sackhoff appeared to deny this later.

I'll believe it when I see it. However, I predict if this does come to pass we'll be treated to half a dozen even more episodes to follow.Darwin wrote:You might get your wish. from BattlestarWiki:
