$110 so far, but I'll probably make at least 50 more from the extended family on New Years.

I also got cordless phone, which is something I've been meaning to get for a while.

And a pack of ANH SW action figures, that I think were made for the release of the DVD's.

Lastly, a stocking full of random stuff, like candy and stuff. There was also a sort of fancy schmancy screw driver, that also works as a ratchet, a 4 pack of Gilette Mach 3 razors, A Taurus Mug (because I'm a Taurus), a tape measure, something I've been meaning to get since I made the mistake of bringing my last one to work.

Not bad overall. But what I'm more excited about is the Computer Desk and comptactable kitchen table that my mom is getting rid of, that I'll be getting.

If you are serious and not merely including the line for joke value, the Games Workshop on line site probably has a whole bunch of info on that. And of course you local hobby store.

Half serious. I wrote it to be funny, but to be truthful I've never done it before, but one gal I know can give me tips and advice, plus the local Games Workshop does the whole "Come in and we'll teach you the basics for free" thing.

Yes, they do that here as well. It was a good line, BTW. I was fortunate enough to have friends who were more experienced modelers when I got into the hobby (I suck BTW. Perfectionism and mediocre skills is an ugly combination. You're never satisfied with your own work.)

To avoid derailing the thread:

Christmas Loot

2 pairs of pants.

2 shirts, including this beautiful USSR flag colour red one (my mother has a great eye for reds and good taste in shirts)

The Shining South
Mystic Secrets

A sweet satchel with all the bells and whistles

Money

A notebook (I use them all the time.)

The sight of my parents' kittens playing with boxes, wrapping paper, bags, and ribbon: PRICELESS

I see you skipped Son of Godzilla like I did. I have it on tape and that's enough until the tape wears out or they stop making VCRs (I don't really care for that film much).

Godzilla vs. Gigan is a recent DVD release that's pretty good. I liked the original Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla better because there's more monster action. There's something about the old school explosions too, with all the little fireworky bits flying off in different directions. :)

Godzilla vs. Hedorah while it has lots of very weird early 70's and some late 60's stuff in it. Did you notice how Hedorah's life cycle seems pretty similar to Destroyah's?

Rayman! An Ubisoft masterpiece
Xenogears It is hard to put an RPG down for six years and then pick it p again.
Star Gladiator: Episode 1 Star Wars meets Soul Blade meets Capcom 3d fighter =D
Rival Schools Hot blooded high school students in a Street Fighter clone from Capcom.

Teh DVD

Gundam F91 I love this movie. It makes my head spin with its total lack of regard for pacing. At least it has Space Nazis and a Gundam. Well, the F91 isn't really a Gundam =D

I didn't really get much in the way of actual presents...my family doesn't know what I want I guess :( I got a lot of little trinkets which were cool (whoopie cushion, action figure, shit like that). My brother hooked me up with a sweet Led Zepplin shirt, and my dad's gf got me an awesome Corona T-Shirt. Other than those and the trinkets, I got giftcards and cash. Not that I'm complaining, cuz that's money in the bank...but real gifts are still better.

In a couple hours I'm going to go get me a copy of Rome Total War with my 50 dollar Best Buy gift card from my Uncle and Aunt. HELL YES hehe

No matter what I got on christmas eve, the best present came today. Steeler's have home field advantage through the playoffs.

*joseph looks up wide eyed from the manger. He scoops baby Jesus up and drops back into shotgun position, Mary, the Wisemen and the Shepherds forming the offensive line against the oncoming rush.

Joe pump fakes to Raphael, but Lucifer has him covered like Hell on sinners. He sees Tasoth down in the endzone. He drops back, aims upward and lets the little messiah fly*

Mark: Wow John, what a pass. It looks like it could be another Immaculate Reception.

John: Mhmm Mark. Lets hope that kids has hands since God has Jesus covered.

*Tasoth cuts left, his eyes focused on the spiralling swaddle of divine salvation. Out of no where, Judas comes to cover him, the former defensive end for Team Christmas. They jump, a tangle of hands in the air, Baby Jesus coming down*

John:OH MY GOD! IT'S GOOD!!

Mark: Team Christmas wins! THE ROOKIE CAUGHT IT!!

*Gets to his feet and raises his arms, still holding baby Jesus, into the air and lets out a victory yell.

Backflips

Spikes baby Jesus as Team Christmas celebratory mauls him*

Say what you want about Jesus, but Joseph was a Steeler's fan.

Edit: Fucking text size...
