Hmm, turned out I remembered Subsilver wrong. I still detest it, but a lot less than I detest Blacksoul. Lag, as long as it's added to the board, we can set what theme we use when logged in.

Re: Massive Version 3 upgrade
We could keep "ignore" functional in non-debate forums like OT and Testing, but I agree it should be turned off in N&P and the like.DEATH wrote:The "Members" list of users shows graphic symbols as a rank in some members cases. (Shep for example has the mushroom instead of words).
I miss the quick reply, echoing others. And I echo the need for a spoiler code option, it would save a fuckton of whining by some.
Might I suggest that the "ignore" setting be disabled? It isn't fitting to the spirit of SDN. (If someone really is that bad, then he'll be banned anyway)
And I see we have a "Save" function now while posting. That could come in handy.

Great work on upgrading btw. I have been on some PHP 3 forums for a little while now and it is a much improved version. I would like to add that if your inbox is full and someone posts you a PM. Its on "hold" until there is space for it. Though this may of been the same in the older version I am not sure.

Not only can I see the report, there's a "moderator control panel" which keeps a log of all open reports, and a log of all moderator actions (though it apparently includes users editing and deleting their own posts, when allowed).Mr Bean wrote:Quick question, can anyone see the fact I've marked the this post for Moderator response? *Edit
Oh merciful Xenu, the boards built in IP Tracer just allot better!
Also as you might notice the top instruction bar stays locked no matter what forum your in.

All right, the new posts function actually works now!
I also like the "View New Posts" and the rest remains on the top.
The time is off by forty minutes for me though.

I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

Nah, you didn't remember it wrong. They even changed the Subsilver theme. I used it all the time on the old version and it looks somewhat uglier now.Edi wrote:Hmm, turned out I remembered Subsilver wrong. I still detest it, but a lot less than I detest Blacksoul. I hope what ever new themes will get added will not be too eye bright as one of the reasons I won't use subsilver is that my eyes start to hurt when I use it.

That's kind of weird. . .I just noticed that bb code in posts before the upgrade don't seem to work.

The moderator control panel is superb. Not only does it make it much easier to do all the things we used to be able to do, there are all kinds of fun new features, too. You can basically mod the entire board from a single screen.

Okay, new bug that I discovered. Links in posts no longer open in a new tab. I didn't notice it at first, because I had left clicked on the link instead of middle clicking, which for me forces the link to open in a new tab in the background.

Re: Massive Version 3 upgrade
Nope, at least for when I was using it (milleniumFalcon if that made a difference). It would just delete whatever message was on the bottom when a new one came in.Bluewolf wrote:Great work on upgrading btw. EDIT: Actually, you can change that option. So it'll either hold, delete the oldest message, or automatically shift it into a new folder.
On that note: yay PM folders! I can't really imagine what I'd need them for, but I guess it's nice that they're there.

Re: Massive Version 3 upgrade
Noticed another bug as well.
It seems that the link or board will die whenever I hit the back button.
If I hit back from a topic thread, and tried to went back to the forum section, like off-topic, I will experience a crash.

Re: Massive Version 3 upgrade
Links used to open in new windows, now they open in the same tab/window as the topic you are reading. I prefer the new window, and it's trivial to open it in a new tab instead, but the same tab isn't very good.
Quote button would be nice on the top of a post, but I could get used to it, eventually.
I like that the top left image doesn't redirect you to the main page anymore, but takes you to the forum Index now. It's easier to click than a line of text, and I didn't like making the mistake before (I always forgot every month or so).

Re: Massive Version 3 upgrade
The new post preview complains when you have images over 640px wide. Thing is, it doesn't check afterwards, so you can post small "dummy" images and replace them with full-size ones in an edit. Is there a way to bump the limit up to 800, disable it for AMP, or since it's not exactly airtight, remove it altogether? So far the mods have been very efficient in suppressing too-large images, so I'm not sure an un-trollproofed automated system is necessary.

Anyone notice the board showing when web crawlers are on the board? It's showing Yahoo and both Google bots at the moment

Re: Massive Version 3 upgrade
The board is far more anal retentive about signatures now. Not ONLY can I not make my sig link clickable, it absolutely refuses to let me use anything higher than 100 pixels; where I still had some leeway on that with the old version. This is probably why so many sigs are still broken.

Frankly, having sig rules as limits that actually work is fucking awesome.

Has the ignore feature been disabled? Because I can't see it at all anywhere, at least here in OT.
Other than that, I like the new format but would like the usernames to be bigger than it is now.

The "ignore" function is under your control panel, specifically called the "Foes" list.Enigma wrote:Has the ignore feature been disabled? Because I can't see it at all anywhere, at least here in OT.

You can also add someone to either list by clicking on the link to their Profile under their posts. I think it shows up under their avatars on that page.
EDIT: I think I figured out what's wrong with the new subSilver: it doesn't use gradients as extensively in it's backgrounds, specifically the forum index. It makes it difficult to track things (the gray is too dark now). For readability, the new themes suck all kinds of ass, overall.

Re: Massive Version 3 upgrade
Mike I may have to fly up there and kiss ya. Seriously the multi-user PM will be the greatest timesave for me EVER. Right now PMing all Senators/Governors/Etc takes anywhere from 15-30 minutes because of the minimum time between posts, now I can send one gigantic PM blast at once and the only effort is to simply add everyone's name to the "To:" list. Seriously that's beyond awesome.
Oh yeah and I can't get the button for "Log me in everytime" to work, it remains unclickable along with all of the reply buttons like "Disable BBCode" and "Disable smilies." For whatever reason I can't seem to click any of them.
