It's generally considered that while a INT's grav-field wouldn't hold them, it's second setting(That is, putting out an /antigrav/ field, will hold them, thanks to a peice of technobabble called an 'Inverse Graviton Beam' holding ships from going to warp.

i think it would be the Enterprise-A. With Scotty to hold it togather, Kirk to command, and Sulu to fly it. It should do pretty good.

Context would be helpful. Patrick imagined it as a Fed ship just trying to survive, with the ISD trying to hunt it and kill it. I don't know if this scenario is meaningful; the Empire would seize control of strategic targets such as planets, supply depots, space stations, etc. if it wanted to conquer the Federation, so what would a Fed ship have to gain by running away? A nice long wait until its supplies and spare parts run out, and it's so weak that it can't even go into warp or fire torpedoes? War is all about territory. If the territory is all taken by the enemy, they can't just barter for fuel and spare parts as they go, like Voyager did.

Perhaps it would be good to envision a scenario. For example, an ISD and a troop transport drop out of warp and attacks a starbase with no warning, swiftly knocking out its weapons before its crew can even go to red alert.

A single Federation starship in the area warps there at high speed in hopes of driving off the ISD before it can an effort to delay the ISD's boarding operation long enough for reinforcements to arrive (a useless gesture, but let's just say the Feddies are desperate). Running away would constitute defeat, and should be considered equivalent to destruction for the purposes of the scenario. So now, which Fed ship will last the longest?

Prometheus-Class. Decent sublight accel in normal mode, and when the Imperial ship is busy blinking at it's seperation into three components, it can distract the ISD. Given some of the corners it's components pulled, it may be enough to dodge the heaviest firepower, and it's shields seem powerful enough to soak a few light gun hits.

Now those were from the Acclamator armed transport, and they where obviously intended for ground support.

The ship that would last longest against an ISD would be whichever ship could run away the fastest. Ablative armour, etc... would be like those guys who put fins and purple lights on their cars. In the end, it doesn't mean thing against ISDs.

Again, the smallest, most maneuverable ship the Federation has, which I believe is a tactical fighter.

Doomriser, running away constitutes defeat.

Quantum Torpedo = 128 megatons
Heavy Turbolaser Bolt = 200 gigatons

So even if we kick the QT up to 200 megatons just to be on the safe side, the HTL is 1000 times more powerful. So yes, one shot.
