What intrigued me the most was Phelps' unwillingness to specifically provide a denial. I mean, we are talking about what he purports to be a capital crime here. I can easily say that I've never had sex with another guy. If he's a proper no-sex-before-marriage fundy, it's not like he should have any ambiguousness to his sex life.

That points to the potential of there being a smoking gun out there that concerns him.

This reminds me of a video I saw about a month back. One of the guys who I play paintball with from time to time had came back from Iraq after his tour. He showed us a recon video he recorded on one of his patrols close to some rural villages during the night. For a few minutes, it was just them zooming in and out of moving "hot spots". Then they zoomed in on these two guys and a donkey who were out in this field. They were looking around for a few seconds, then one of them dropped his pants and well....... not going into details. I didn't know what was more disturbing that night, the video, or the fact that some of the guys asked to see it again. :shock:
