At some forums I've seen, over half of all registered members had no posts, but to be fair, we'd probably have a similar ratio if inactive members weren't purged on a semi-regular basis.Destructionator XIII wrote:Here's some interesting facts about SD.net's member's post counts:
Out of 2168 registered users right now:
320 have no posts at all.
1407 have less than 100 posts.
277 have over 1000 posts.
24 have over 10000 posts.
Mike has the most at 27646 posts.
I wonder what the distribution looks like on some of the other boards?
well, revprez managed to break 1,000 posts in roughly a week. course we all know what happened to him. . . .Joe wrote:The fastest here would probably be someone like Ein or verilon. Damn Mike, thats impressive.
The last purge was on June 9 of this year.Captain_Cyran wrote:It looks like it's been awhile since our last purge. Almost a year I think.
That's still almost double the time from that time to the time before it though. I guess that was what I was really trying to get at.XaLEv wrote:The last purge was on June 9 of this year.Captain_Cyran wrote:It looks like it's been awhile since our last purge. Almost a year I think.

Well of all the goals that people set for themselves in life this certainly ranks pretty far above registering one's hands as lethal weapons.Skelron wrote: Well for some Stupid reason I want to become a Jedi master ON My Birthday, thing is I'm trying not to make Spammy Posts although I wonder if this one slips under the radar as acceptable or is this just spam?
and yes I actually want to make that 1000th Post on December the 22nd not a second before in fact I may just have to find a thread a 11.30 and wait till Midnight for my 1000th post just to do it properly)
Where is the ignore list here?Enigma wrote:Though I am a JW, I wouldn't touch that site with a ten fot pole.Ma Deuce wrote:Yay! We're 5 places ahead of the Jehovah's Witnesses...
There isn't one, and I've never observed Enigma to try and proselytize on the board, so there's no reason to ignore him anyway. Don't like it? Deal.Zerg Goddess wrote:Where is the ignore list here?Enigma wrote:Though I am a JW, I wouldn't touch that site with a ten fot pole.Ma Deuce wrote:Yay! Sort of, plus they need to have a 0 postcount. Because if you delete someone with posts their posts all count as being made by "Guest".Uraniun235 wrote:Yikes, I'd forgotten about the purges. I'm glad there wasn't one while I was gone. What's the criterion for an 'inactive' account? Six months' inactivity?

Less than one post, actually. Once you've posted, your account won't be deleted. Might be banned if you're an idiot/troll, but not deleted.Ace Pace wrote:Less then 5 posts?Uraniun235 wrote:Yikes, I'd forgotten about the purges. I'm glad there wasn't one while I was gone. No, thats alot of people who lurk.HemlockGrey wrote:Although, I think we should get rid of accounts that haven't been active in the last year and have a low postcount (like under 500).
No kidding. Maybe time doesn't permit a large post count for some people.Ace Pace wrote:No, thats alot of people who lurk.HemlockGrey wrote:Although, I think we should get rid of accounts that haven't been active in the last year and have a low postcount (like under 500).
However during the early days of the boards some troll accounts were indeed deleted. Like some of the Elite Fitness troll accounts.Rogue 9 wrote:Less than one post, actually.
