Military pay grades are also publicly available for anyone to look up, afaik. $5,000 a month really is a pretty okay payrate given all your food and shelter is provided, though it averages out to about $40-45k a year or so which isn't unreasonable for someone with a bachelor's.Alex Moon wrote: He's not. I earn about $4300 a month right now as a First Lieutenant with 2 years experience.

A decision must be made in the life of every nation at the very moment when the grasp of the enemy is at its throat. Then, it seems that the only way to survive is to use the means of the enemy, to rest survival upon what is expedient, to look the other way. Well, the answer to that is 'survival as what'? A country isn't a rock. It's not an extension of one's self. It's what it stands for. It's what it stands for when standing for something is the most difficult! - Chief Judge Haywood

There is a guy in my AIT class who is planning on going officer but is going through the 44C AIT fist so he'll most likely get branched Finance.Alex Moon wrote:First thing is that unlike enlisted, she won't choose her job. Officers list their branch preferences and the army tries to slot you to one of your first three, but it's needs of the army.
If anyone wants to know about basic combat training at Fort Jackson or the training for 44C let me know.
