Oh yeah, we've raised hell in Hell and killed Satan! Now let's raise some more in Heaven! (Laughs maniacally at the thought of Yahweh getting up close and personal with a cruise missile.)
Please do not make Americans fight giant monsters.

Those gun nuts do not understand the meaning of "overkill," and will simply use weapon after weapon of mass destruction (WMD) until the monster is dead, or until they run out of weapons.

They have more WMD than there are monsters for us to fight. (More insanity here.)

Damn Satan was one tough bastard, two anti-ship missiles to completely kill him

Awesome stuff, demons are even tougher then I ever thought if they can withstand that kind of blast and fragmentation in an enclosed space, this does not bode well for the war with heaven at all.

But question, just what missile is this? The warhead is bigger then any Progress missile I’ve heard of, but then the fuel tank may have been shortened to make space for a bigger one, and yet 600mph implies something from the subsonic and much smaller Termite/ Rubezh missile family.

So is this the end of the Armageddon book, or do we still have a way to go before we start Pantheocide (is that what you called it?)?

No, we have some little way to go yet. Then there'll be a break before we get to Pantheocide and the war on heaven.

Ah, once again excellent.

I really wish we had a picture of Abigor and his friends bursting in there.

I'm hoping that he'll have Satan's corpse chopped up and sent to various corners of Dis.

This might work as a terror tactic, as long as the pieces are large enough to be recognizable (humans to demons: "Our weapons are powerful enough to kill even Satan! Serve us or you will share his fate!").

Another good idea is to use Caesar's bluff: set up some projectors to use the walls of Dis as screens, loop a video of demonic warriors getting the shit blown through their heads by bombs, rockets, missiles, artillery, heavy machine guns, etc., and ask the demonic audience, "Are you with us or against us?"

I find it horribly, absolutely appropriate that Satan was killed by Progress. :P

Impaling Satan's remains on the top of a huge pole would serve that purpose with much less work.

I think the best place for Satan's remains is a glass case in DIMO(N) next to an empty case with the sign 'Reserved for Yaweh' on it.

That would have to be a pretty big pole, I imagine.

I'd personally prefer to have Satan scattered around Dis for maximum effect, just like the way they chopped up traitors in England once upon a time. It shouldn't be too much effort, not with our resources anyways.

I believe I read something on TV tropes that summarizes my feelings on this story. Permit me to share it with you.
Humanity is special because they are murderous, tenacious bastards and if you fuck with them they will rain down fury upon you that your race literally cannot conceive of.

I wish there was a head left, though. I was thinking it would be awesome to put a giant monument up somewhere of a human figure (haven't decided yet) seated with a foot each on the bronzed heads of Satan and Yahweh, respectively.

*Insert usual comments about how awesome this is here*

Now that THATS out of the way, you have to wonder.

What is Yahweh going to make of this? What kind of rage will he go into? And what kind of fear will he actually start to feel?

Consider. Satan SUCCESSFULY rebelled against Heaven, broke away and defended himself, forming a succesful nation state which Yahweh had to grudingly recognize and come to some kind of deal with, all of this taking palce over a lonnnng time.

Earth just crushed this state to pieces in a matter of months with about as much effort as a human crushing a roach. AND they just killed someone who is portrayed by a lot of people as Yahweh's equal and opposite.

Which reminds me, that Missile operator is going to be instnatly famous as the guy who killed Satan....

Even in his drug incuced haze, God must be starting to wonder if this really WAS a good idea after all...

And was anyone else reminded of Gavlitron 'putting Starscream in his place' when Abgidor arrived? :D

Yeah - I suspect that's going to occur to a lot of humans, demons and angels, very soon. Abigor might even make that point to his people himself. Satan rebelled successfully, but never managed to take Heaven. The humans are even better at war than Satan was.

Implication - humans, once they're aware of the situation (as they are now) are capable of taking Heaven.

Do the demons want to get in on that act, even at the cost of co-operating with "inferior" humans?

Question is, how sane IS Yahweh after thousands of years of mainlining pure, uncut arsekissing?

Might not even be sane enough to realize he can be defeated... nothing left in his head aside from pure egomania.

"Coronation, Starscream? This is bad comedy."
-- Galvatron.

(One of the voice acting bits by Mr. Nimoy that I REALLY enjoyed...)

Damn, that should have been Abigor's line... can't you just see him saying it?

"Victory, Satan? This is bad comedy."

Heh.

Stuart did mention that Heaven is far more complex in terms of politics than Hell. I wonder if a couple of the angels will come forward (in secret) to turn traitor against Yahweh once the news that Satan is dead gets out, in order to secure a solid position once the humans start the war and (hopefully) win it.

Seems to me that in the middle of our rejoicing at the conquest of Dis, that would be a REALLY good time for either Belial or Uriel to sucker-punch earth with whatever bad mojo they've got.
