Best/worst anime?

Post by Darth Yoshi »

What anime do you like or hate the most? My favorite is Gundam Wing, and I thought Boogie Pop Phantom was horrible.

I'm partial to Cowboy Bebop.

When I was a kid I thought Robotech was badass. Now I watch it as an adult and think, oh man this is horrible.

Ghost in the Shell was probably the most enjoyable show I have seen as an adult.

Robotech and Macross were always fun for me, but Ranma 1/2 is great.

hey look as far as cartoons go, the most hardcore non x rated, just cool kickass, was probably Exosquad. The first season was got to be one of the best I have ever seen. the following seasons lost allot of its flare. Fasv scene, Captin Marcus ramming the resolute into an enemy carrier after he lost it mentally.

current fav is gundum. it just seems cool. though I wish they would make people act cooler. I wish they would pronouce zion correctly.

I can't get myself to like bebop, its just not my thing.

I hate Angel canidate with a passion, its like pedophilia. the Batman series was pretty good. My fav episdoe has to be the first 2 face one.

Ghost in the Shell kicked ass (been meaning to snag the DVD) while Macross Plus and Big O are pretty good too. (Gotta love the Batman-esque noir style they use for Big O.) For cheap carnage and laughs, Fist of the North Star is cool.

All that Sailor Moon and DBZ horseshit they show on Cartoon Network blows ass though.

I also liked Exosquad. In the end, the Humans did retake Earth. My favorite anime is Evangeleon.

Cowboy Bebop is my favorite. The worst is probably Voltron, though I still love the show for it's awfulness.

Neon Genesis Evangelion, except EoE (that was a godawful piece of trash), Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, and Spriggan. :D

It is ASTONISHING to me that Power Rangers never got hit with any copyright infraction laws from Voltron. They are the EXACT SAME SHOW! One's just a cartoon. Both of them are terrible, but Power Rangers DEFINITELY should have gotten sued over that one.

So starts the second page

To be honset I think they never got hit with-lawsuits because the creators were either, A-All dead, B-Never copywrighted it, or good enough

Oh and as I forgot, I'm a big Cowboy-Beboop Fan, Tri-gun amuses me and I've never seen Neon Genesis Evangelion :\

Right now I'm working through Yu Yu Hakusho, though Finding Epsoides is diffuclt,

Still what other Show/Series/Anime, kills of the Main Charater during the first fifteen seconds of the show? :D

That intriged me enough to keep watching

Cartoon: Batman, Batman of the future (either of these, though these are the first two that come to mind)

Anime: Jin-Roh (one of the best animes of the 20th century... I kid you not)
Evangelion (freaky story, hot chicks, cool robot fight scenes... And I got re-introduced to classical music here)
Vandread (Just watch it... Kinda rare, but pretty good)
Kachou Ouji (VERY weird storyline, but quite cool nonetheless)
Sakura Wars (two words: Shinguuji Sakura)
Love Hina (well, at least at first... got sick of it after a while)

That's my tuppence. [/b]

Gundam 0083, Gundam Wing, and Cowboy Bebop are my favorites.

Tenchi Muyo always makes me laugh my ass off, just because it's so goofy.

Arrrrgh I to forgot Tenchi Muyo that show is hillarious espsialy I suggest you watch it edited for cotent, Why? Because of all the parts involing a certian space pirate who has a *tea problem, and where they critsise her for drinking to much *tea and don't edit what the bottle(Come on if you have not guess it by not you won't) says on the front :D

The censors they used had a real hard time with that show :D

Screw it Exosquad is like the finest Animee ever made state side. Completely hard core, and every acts like americans which makes it seem cooler. 1 world government, no socialism, and a desire to kill people and things that they don't understand.

You know in gundum, I like the zion forces allot. They talk cooler, they have better hair, the women dress sexier, and they have no problem with killing people on a planetary scale.

Most fucked up, would have to be LA blue girl. x-rated but so completely insane. I can;t stop laughing just thinking about how twisted someone would have to be to write up such a thing.

The folks at GAINAX probably ran out of ideas.
If that's what you think, you need to seriously re-assess your anime viewing mindset.

Best anime: Kareshi Kanojo no Jijyo
Close runners-up: Cowboy Bebop, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Serial Experiments Lain, Vandread, Vandread 2nd Stage

Worst: Hard to choose, since I don't usually watch bad anime. I didn't like Gatekeepers much, and I can't watch any form of Pokemon/Digimon/Yugioh. The Sailor Moon dub is horrible. The Ronin Warriors dub was pretty bad, too.
