Apparently, PA-BA-FAWHOOM is the sound that a star destroyer makes when it explodes. At least according to some vintage Star Wars comic that had a star destroyer explosion in one panel, with the onomatopoetic rendition PA-BA-FAWHOOM written over the explosion (as part of the drawing itself, not as plain text).
Does anybody know what issue that was, or at least where I can find an online picture of that particular panel? It must have been printed in the late 70s or early 80s, judging from the drawing style and colouration.

Oh, loved that comic as a kid... But Admiral Giel's flagship transporting the Teezl(?) wasn't an ISD but some other type.
Re: PA-BA-FAWHOOM
Praetor Class Star Dreadnaught IIRC.
Also, how do we know that wasn't the sound of the Teazel exploding? It was Vong technology (retrocon I know...)

I've been asked why I still follow a few of the people I know on Facebook with 'interesting political habits and view points'.
It's so when they comment on or approve of something, I know what pages to block/what not to vote for.

OMG, you found it! Thank you!
You have no idea how many years I've been trying to find that.
