I saw this just a few minutes ago at Huffington Post. It was little more than a link to the old YouTube of Picard vs the Galactic Empire, but I bolded the giveaway sign that this person is indeed a Trektard.
As if there were any doubt as to the outcome, someone has taken the time to pit Captain Picard against Darth Vader in this epically geeky battle of wits. If you're one of those people who can never keep Star Trek and Star Wars straight anyway, this will probably just confuse you more.
I personally loved it. I don't demand geeky entertainment to abide by the rules of logic or nerd scientific breakdown. I just ask it to be entertaining, which this was.

LOL. I liked it. I just knew they'd use the choke scene at the end. The Outrageous Okona bullshit wasn't a big deal. The "is there nudity in it?" (taken from Patrick Stewart's hilarious appearance on Extras with Ricky Gervais) had me spitting my drink.
A fairly well-constructed video as these things go.
Yes, the laser part was obviously false, but its a parody. As for the torpedos damaging the ISD, I'd rationalize that as an overconfident imperial neglecting to raise shields.
And hey, Vader won in the end didn't he? Watching the Enterprise crew pay the price for their lack of vision was nice. Especially after Data's uncontrollable laughter. That was probably the funniest bit to me.
"I know its easy to be defeatist here because nothing has seemingly reigned Trump in so far. But I will say this: every asshole succeeds until finally, they don't. I SUPPORT A NATIONAL GENERAL STRIKE TO REMOVE TRUMP FROM OFFICE.
And if someone feels that it is a big deal, they need to grow a sense of perspective. It's a comedy video, and if there's funny scenes to be had with the Enterprise winning, than a debate on a forum somewhere shouldn't get in the way.
It was funny. Loved it. Anyone that took it seriously should really need to get a sense of humour.

Yeah, its pure wank, but hilariously done wank. I loved the part where Picard and the Enterprise crew were just sitting around staring at each other during the turbolaser barrage, and finally Picard just shrugs.

"You enjoyed that."
"Damned right."
Funny thing is, that scene was lifted almost straight from a real TNG episode... which was terminally boring except for that scene.
That was fun. And yeah, sod logic. It entertained, and that's all that matters.

Which episode is the bit where Picard wanders round the bridge and idly swipes the dust off the plaque before answering the hail from? I never realised he could be such a smug git

Ensigns of Command, as said two posts above yours.
I did love that scene, perhaps one of the only times in all of TNG where Picard does the equivalent of saying "You know what? Fuck you." to the aliens of the week.
If I had something interesting, profound or incredibly stupid to say, it would go here.

I agree with Elfdart's initial assessment; , but it was still pretty damn funny. Especially the Picard parts where he is just like "*sigh* WTF is up with these idiots". And god damn, I forgot how smug and arrogant Picard can be when he wants to.

Turbolasers bouncing off shields + mass force choking = does not compute!
Though out of curiosity, is there any EU out there were a Sith does actually choke people en masse?
IIRC near the end of Outbound Flight Jedi Master Jorus C'boath(sp?) was almost able to take out Thrawn and his bridge crew from a hefty distance.

Nope - he only targeted Thrawn himself. The only example of multiple force-chokes, or similar, I can think of was Vader at the end of RotS.
