Trajectory Calculations

I'm trying to figure out what angle is going to allow a pneumatic cannon to fire a ping pong ball as far as possible. If somebody could just give me an equation for this or point me to a site, I'd be extremely thankful.

In open combat they'd most likely be worse than useless. I doubt a Jedi could deflect a string of bullets from a machine gun, probably use their precog to dodge, or use the Force to shove the bullets aside (I always think of that chick from MGS2 when I say that :) ). They'd be fodder for artillery....

I can imagine them making up some new lightsaber weaponry just for Chan. With him in it, Ep3 would be more of a comedy.
Not if they get Jet Li for the role. They could give him a pair of force-pikes and have him effortlessly shish-kebabing armed Jedi Knights.

Fair enough. Actually, all of Starfleet gathered together could probably take any one of the ships smaller then the Executor, presuming Death Squadron gets separated enough, the feds have some warning, and they accept the use of mass suicide tactics . I have but one thing to say... LOL!!!! Very tru...

I'll make this quick. I'm postponing the fic until i have enough time to get a good chunk done. I admit i picked a stupid time to start it ( i had coursework by the ton and it's been followed up by exams). Once i've got a good 3-4 chapters done and i'm happy with it i';ll begin posting it. Don't ge...

I'm referring to the sheer AMOUNT of energy Fett used. Think about it: FIVE ion cannons? And not even that managed to shut IG down completetely (irrelevent point, I know). If Fett went in with this much firepower, I'm assuming he knew how tough the droid was. I know that's tought but I doubt it's 3...

Do you even know how the Chinese swords were made? I doubt it from your posting. The smith would take a plate of metal, hammer it down as thin and straight as he could, fold it over, and repeat the process until he was rewarded with an extremely sharp, durable sword. Trust me, if it can't cut plate...

When I was visisting Britian this summer, I went to Warwick Castle, where I proceeded to watch a man don plate armor, pick up a halberd, run and skip, battle for twenty minutes, all without becoming the least bit exhausted. Further, the other man's broadsword failed to make so much as a dent on his...

Griffith, why are you pitting medieval European armies against Chinese armies several centuries before? IIRC the period of the 3 kindoms were around 300 AD. How about using the Song dynasty from around 1000AD? By then China is completely unified, and I'm sure that military technology is better by t...

Keeping dolphins onboard a primarily human-crewed spaceship would be idiotic. Even if they do approach human intelligence, so what?
