Re: The Salvation War: Pantheocide Part Eighty Four Up

Peter may have been just lying.

Also, why is DIMO(N) disbanded? Their task may be done against Heaven and Hell, but there's still Valhalla, Olympus and wherever the Baals reside, and we may need battle plans against them.

Heaven's a pretty big pleace. We can't even track him on Earth.
Ehlmas could pull the strings for centuries before we discovered him.

Re: The Salvation War: Pantheocide Part Eighty Two Up

Ridley Scott, I say. He knows his action, and how to make somewhat decent movies. if animated: Gainax studios have experience in a very loosely similar area. Expect it to become something utterly insane, but with awesome visuals and soundtrack. The result would be something so psychologically contri...

Re: The Salvation War: Pantheocide Part Eighty Two Up

Nah, I bet if Uwe Boll comes saying he wants to do the Salvation War movies, Stuart will promptly sock him. Michael Bay may pass. But if he puts some romantic subplot somewhere (that isn't Lemuel with Maion's) Stuart will sock him. And the rest of SDNet behind him. Better Uwe Boll than Tarantino Ta...

Re: The Salvation War: Pantheocide Part Eighty Two Up

If we can get the sales high enough, we might be able to sell the film rights as well. Although I suspect it would have to be done in two "volumes" like Kill Bill. The slash-review thing is interesting; I suspect people work on the basis that if somebody hates the book so much, it must ha...

Re: The Salvation War: Pantheocide Part Eighty Two Up

Edit: You know, I bet there's a big honking library somewhere in Heaven, and I can't wait for Norman and the rest of the DIMO(N) researchers to get to it. I honestly doubt it. Everything ran on 'because Yahweh wills it', and having books that basically say 'things work like this and Yahweh has noth...

Re: The Salvation War: Pantheocide. Part Eighty One Up

So, tactical focused game, with reduced if not absent economic model. that is more consistent with the story. it could be not that easy to pull, though. I suppose we can draw different resources for each faction, money for humans, fear for daemons and devotion for angels. Or something like that. An...

Re: The Salvation War: Pantheocide. Part Eighty One Up

Also...I'd like to see the reaction of Scientology to the idea of crazy people being vindicated like that. Especially with their radical views on psychology. I remember reading that a girl was having a stroke or something else near a bunch of Scientologists. They surrounded her and started praying....

Like Heaven's Final Hour in SC1, only with a better story? It'd be good, but the scripting limits won't let us.

Re: The Salvation War: Pantheocide. Part Eighty One Up

I can perfectly see a TSW RTS with three campaigns, like darksoul says. The first one is the Human one. It is true to TSW: Armageddon. The second one is the Daemonic one. Abigor realizes the human forces are powerful, but he manages to win the Battles of Hit and Al Yadiyah Al Janubiyah. He eventuall...

Re: The Salvation War: Pantheocide. Part Eighty One Up

I'd love to play a TSW FPS. Specially if it includes that branching storyline. But getting killed and having nothing but a trident afterwards until you find the resistance sounds like boring combat... How would a FPS set in Pantheocide work? There was no Angel vs infantry combat, and there will nev...

Re: The Salvation War: Pantheocide. Part Eighty One Up

It is unknown at the moment. It does imply intelligent design, though. It is clearly meant as an insult, but doesn't that insult apply to themselves as well? Perhaps the process that transformed angels to demons is some kind of 'birth'. But I remember Memnon using the phrase 'Once-born' to refer to ...

Re: The Salvation War: Pantheocide. Part Eighty One Up

I wonder if the first all baldrick Metal band would be black, symphonic or death metal... Or to sing Kumbaya holding their hands and smiling at each other in a flower field... how`s that for shock value? Some demons are trying to be like humans, aren't they? Therefore, they will try to do what's po...

Re: The Salvation War: Pantheocide. Part Eighty One Up

I think that the lowest-ranked minor demons might be able to handle a human-sized guitar or bass, but could you imagine Abigor handling a Les Paul? It would look like a ukelele in the hands of a reasonably large human being. It already looks unimpressive in the hands of a teenaged girl... But we ca...

Re: The Salvation War: Pantheocide. Part Eighty One Up

6. Music: Same as with the movies. Use the temples as venues. It's going to be de rigeur for heavy metal bands to have demon drummers. Or leading guitars. I wonder what Therion, Nightwish, or Within Temptation would do with a chorus of angels. I for one wouldn't notice the difference. I always said...

No, actually, the planes and harpies are a better idea. Why not have both?
I just realized that the soldiers walking besides the river of fire watching souls burning and doing nothing sends a message of indifference, IMO.
