Huh? Where'd the Goddamn story go?

The answer is, I took it down. For reasons relating to copyright and publishing industry practices and a lot of other stuff, I took The Humanist Inheritance out of public view. I'm not going to go so far as calling it "unfortunate" nobody can see it anymore. I've done an awful lot of work on the rewrite, and trust me: the first draft looks like a piece of shit by comparison. But I do sorta miss it.

Everyone's comments in the thread have been saved; I consulted them from time to time during the rewrite, and the appropriate people will be properly acknowledged (if and) when the time comes.

POST SCRIPT: So why this announcement to begin with? Because I know this has been linked to from other parts of the intarwebs, and I thought it would be rude to just break all those links.
