Comparison of T-X & T-1000

Post by NecronLord »

There's been some comments about the T-1000 being more effective than the T-X, which I would call into question.

The T-X is
  • Faster - "She debated giving chase on foot - the T-X was capable of speeds in excess of eighty kilometers per hour for brief periods of time" compares facorably with the T-1000's lower speed in T2

Stronger - She is capable of easily overpowering a T-850, the T-1000 had difficulty in comparison with Arnie 2

Better Armed - Strange though it is, that plasma weapon has greater range and power than the T-1000's knives and stabbing weapons

How long do you reckon she could last in a molten steel bath, and how would she react to being bathed in liquid nitrogen and shot?

Longer than the T-1000, as her endoskeleton was able to survive a fire that denatured her Mpa skin.
and how would she react to being bathed in liquid nitrogen and shot?
That would depend on how cold you can make the endoskeleton before it sustains processor damage. (Then of course, she has a plasma projector, she could evaportate the liquid nitrogen if it were in the same amount as in T2 and send herself flying out of there in the way.)

What's her endoskeleton made from? Is it the same titanium hyperalloy thing that t800s have?Just to see if she'd last marginally longer than a t1000 in a steel bath, as the t800 died marginally faster...iirc.(shakey memory that one).

Not to mention that the T-X can surf the net.... DL hot lesbian pics to satisfy her... deprivation.

T-X has better resistence to shock.

The T-1000 was stunned by a mag from an M-16, when T-X tore part of the roof off the coffin car John blasted her with an AKSU-74, which would have done comparable damage. Yet she was still coming after him.

T-X took rounds from what looked like a grenade launcher (but no explosions).

T-X didn't flinch from shotgun rounds.

T-X is sexier :D

The problem with the T-X is not ability, it's the fact that she hasn't got any brains worth speaking of. The T-1000 is inferior in ability to the T-X on almost all fronts but acts much more intelligently, thus it has a chance of competing with the T-X and maybe succeed where the T-X had failed in T3

Difference of mission. A T-X is probably a grunt trooper, from the amount of punishment it can take and dish out. A T-1000 is a pure assassin.

Yet the T-X can do nearly everything the T-1000 can do. It merely needs to mantain a roughly human shape.

Was that scene necessary for the T-1000?

No, but it does provide a capability the T-X lacks. The T-1000 could perform a flawless locked room murder, without leaving a trace of its passage, the T-X would have to create a human sized opening to achieve entry. The T-1000 would have a much better chance of evading discovery in a closed environment(How many security people would immediately think to scan the power generator to see if its generating a terminator worth of additional energy when checking the base's security. The T-1000 can just add its mass to the generator, the T-X is limited by the shape of its chassis). T-x is a better Line unit, the T-1000 is a better infiltrator.

It demonstrates that it's a lethal assassin.. You can search every humanoid that is in the hall, but unless you scan the floor itself, it could still get you. It's built to lie in wait and kill your ass up close.

And yes, I think the T-X was a prototype to replace the aging -800 series. My own guess would be the -850 is an upgrade program to extend the older series until the T-X program is complete. The T-X being experimental could explain it's lack of intelligence: They just loaded a combat brain into it because it was all that was designed for it yet.

Anyway, all my guesses.

The T-1000 had an experimental AI, that made it very smart and independent. I think that the TX uses a modified T-800 AI system, that explains its stupid directness

If you were to compare the T-1000 to the T-X in a fight, the T-X would kick the crap ot of the T-1000, only takes 2 of her plasma bolts to kill one.

However, the T-X would not be able to regenerate from being frozen. If liquid nitrogen got her, she would freeze, tip over and shatter.

As for surviving longer in liquid steel, who knows, we will never know

You're assuming the fucking endoskeleton which has been shown to be more temp-resistant and durable would freeze exactly like the mimetic polyalloy. Idiot.

Care to explain them dipshit? Care to explain the real world effects of liquid nitrogen on a metal alloy which is only millimeters thick probably and can take an RPG-7 warhead almost w/out a scratch?

Acording to the novel, Skynet is in the process of replacing the terminator series with the T-X.
