The Qudlivun Free State will order 1 Hospital Ship for next year. Also we'd like an update on our current order.

All orders for FY2009 have been completed.

Let's see... I shall donate 300mil and build myself... 30 ships.
Also, PeZook, feel free to make major FUN policy decisions. The point of making FUN was to have more competent statesmen than me lead our Central Sea nations to THE FUTURE

Standard or Light? PeZook hasn't added the LHS into the spreadsheet yet, but it's quite a bit cheaper. You could probably order two or maybe three for about the same (or not much more) than an SHS and enable greater felxibility in response.
I'll probably order a couple LHS ships myself. Also, PeZook, the Gross Tonnage is listed as 16,572 for the LHS. I'll let you figure out the conversion since you're so smart.
And hey, do I get an update to my DWT/year capacity in FY2010 or not?

Which ones? The selection grew quite a bit since FY2008

Well, it should be pretty simple
That means the LHS is smaller than the FCS even. I propose we base it on the standard FCS hull, this way we won't have to design a new ship.

Yes. Yes you do
The fianl budget will probably be a little late - it's a long weekend in Poland, so i'll be gone untill May 4th

Works for me I suppose. Although those poor (but charitable) saps back on Old Earth already designed it for us.
Obviously though, this being a hospital ship, there will be no weapons aboard for those who order. The rest of the stats can be found
here. And, this being a hospital ship, crew requirements will naturally go up a bit more (at least for hospital staff).
As for me, I'll probably order 10 FCS, large as well. I am seeking to expand my merchant fleet and all. And I'll mix up my 25 FCS order as well.
5x FCS/standard
5x FCS/oil
5x FCS/chemical
5x FCS/container
5x FCS/helicopter(w/FC radar)
So as of now, my ISCA-related shipping is as follows:
15x FCS/standard (
10/
5)
5x FCS/oil
5x FCS/chemical
5x FCS/container
5x FCS/helicopter(w/FC radar)
10x FCS-L
1x SHS
2x LHS
Green - completed
Yellow - ordered
Orange - planned, not ordered
Note: For my own personal system, I consider if the ship has a '/' after the base designation, it is a subtype of the base hull. If it has a '-' it is a wholly new hull (just with a similar name). So in my own personal recordkeeping, shorthand I'd have 35 FCS (of varying subtypes) and 10 FCS, large.
Since I'll be updating my Reference thread using this system, I thought I'd define it. If PeZook wishes to use this across for the ISCA itself, he's more than welcome.

Standard. My read on the LHS leads me to believe it was built for more routine operations than disaster response.

Hey PeZook, what's the difference between an FCS, standard and an FCS, container?

RogueIce wrote:Hey PeZook, what's the difference between an FCS, standard and an FCS, container?
Standard has an open deck and a cargo hold (so it can move bulk cargo and containers stacked on the deck) and an FCS container is container-only, but can hold more.

Ah, roger.
So hey, using your expertise, how does my above proposed fleet list look for capabilities? Fairly well-rounded or what?

Um... PeZook, I think I'll go with 20 FCS Large Oils.
Or, well... I need an idea how to balance my stuff.

I'll give the Standard Economist Response No.1: "It depends"
Mostly on your exports/imports

Ok, since I am both bad at math and Military stuff... How many new Missilie frigates could I purchase this fiscal year, and what types should I get?

For FY 2010, I think I need 2 Container ships, because they can hold finished pharmaceutical products, yes?

Byzantium is expressing interest in AEW platforms, to be installed on a Il-96 aircraft. It is interested in knowing what platforms are available.

Well, now that I'm an OMSK pact member, I have a few things I need to arrange. I need capable doctors, scientists, engineers, etc. I have about 30,000 people finishing schooling each year, but the only college is in my capital, and they don't all have the financial resources to travel there. I would like to send them abroad, to learn in more advanced nations. Would it be possible to arrange something with the member states?
In the interest of greater unity between our two peoples, I would also like to make an offer towards Byzantium. Although I adhere to no faith, I recognizes that religion can provide people with solace and purpose in their lives. Towards this end, I would like to extend an offer towards the Byzantine Orthodox Church. You may establish a diocese (or whatever the nationwide organization is) in my country. You can select someone from the local flock of followers (when you get some) or send someone from your own land.
As long as they preach no treason, and respect the laws of my country, I will permit the Orthodox Church to operate as a tax free organization in the Vedra Republic. Believe me, that's a better deal then other religions get.
The Vedra Republic would like to purchase 2 Il-96-400 passenger jets for Vedra Airlines.
For the Army, I want to purchase 8 AH-64D gunships from Shepnukistan. I'll also need military advisors to train the pilots and maintainence crews.
I also want to invest in the HISCO satellite system. Establishing nationwide internet access is a priority of mine. I offer an investment of $200 million. Would that be helpful?

Byzantium's universities would be more than happy to offer scholarships to capable citizens of the Vedra Republic. I believe we can come to an agreement on that issue. The Government however, advises the Vedra Republic to seek the aid of other OMSK nations such as UKB and Red Technocracy as well on this issue.

The Ecumenical Patriarch would be more than happy to appoint an archbishop and to invite candidates to the seminaries in Byzantium. We hope that in time, a local bishop can be appointed to head the Church there. In a friendly gesture, we invite the Russian Patriarch to assist us in building the church in Vedra.

The Byzantine Emperor in general does not like religious zealots and has advised quite strongly to the Ecumenical Patriarch to stay out of politics.

It was a general OMSK pact offer. Anyone who wishes to render assistance will be welcome.

I am looking to purchase a couple of multirole frigates for my nation, as well as a few relatively cheap interceptors/general strike aircraft.
And I hould have more information regarding who those messages were sent to in Liberopia, I jst don't want the investigation to appear that it is moving too fast.
I am also up for Stas's Idea of having a conference of someuch to address piracy. Would corporate stakeholders be invited? (If not, my government would just go instead.)
Edit: Quick question: what sort of liberties, if any, am I allowed to take about saying pirates are operating in others territory, including players we aren't really active? (And what about the case of pirates operating covertly? They have to be based somewhere.)

Dude, as tiny as your country is, multirole frigates are out of your operating budget. Trust me.
Trust me.
What you want is a
Clyde class OPV. At a mere $50mil or so a pop it'll provide you with a vessel that will more than provide for your maritime security, as well as have low operating on personnel costs.
Available at a MESS member state near you.

That seems to be more what I had in mind anyway. Are you one of those MESS nations that is willing to sell? (I may want to see what other offers may be availible as well before making a final decision though.)

I just spent about an hour reading through the two threads, you guys have been busy.
Shroom, perhaps the FUN(I love that name) should have something like the OMSK security council that can help you administer the FUN more efficiently.
