McC wrote:The Queen would have to have left two eggs, or a facehugger can implant multiple embryos (unlikely, given that we see dead facehuggers in A2 when the marines are exploring the hive) -- remember, Ripley was impregnated during cryosleep. We first see the egg open in the beginning of the movie, and a hole burned into Ripley's cryotube. So there were at least two embryos implanted, if not two distinct eggs layed. One of these eggs was a queen and one of them was a warrior/drone/non-queen.
IMO, It's more likely that queen facehuggers are unique and can implant two embryos.

The burn marks were on Newt's cryotube. The "hugged" victim shown in the neuroscanner at the beginning was Newt (Ripley's tube wasn't broken until after that scene). The script even has an unfilmed scene in which the queen embryo crawls out of Newt's mouth and into Ripley's.

I'm glad they never showed that though. It would have looked ridiculous.

You'll never guess what he told me too. He said that it took him an hour and not a half hour. He also said that he was going to write another one called ALIENS Investigated. Look familiar-http://www.absoluteavp.com/sections.php ... e&artid=64

For shame...
Well, technically he could have written in in Word, then pasted it here (that's what I do for important stuff, in case my comp decids to die on me). However, if that's true that he stole it from a different site, then shame on him, the fucking plagiarist.

Still, 200 WPM is between 3-6 times normal WPM rates, depending.

Although if it took him an hour, that's still 100 WPM, which is twice what office typists average.

Either way, he sure as hell is lying about something...

typing for an hour solid at 100 WPM would be nigh impossible to do without getting extremely sore wrists. while i've scored up to 110 wpm on typing tests before myself, the strain starts getting to you after a few minutes and you need to slow down on what you're writing.

i honestly don't believe anyone can keep up typing at that speed for an hour, as it would simply put too much stress on your wrists and fingers. eventually you either have to slow down or stop typing altogether for awhile.

He also said that he finished writing it in an hour and had d=finished a grammar check and sp check. Granted that can be done by word.

Jax if you read this. While a good friend you are, please stop the lying and plagiarizing.

his claims are obviously bullshit then. if i had to take the time thinking about what i'm writing my typing speed would drastically decrease by 20 or 30 words per minute. the only way i can even get it as high as 100+ wpm is if i'm copying something directly from a book page or something similar.

In other news, Lord Jax was proven to be a liar and a plagiarist today. While he is given a chance to explain himself, it is highly unlikely that a satisfactory expalnation will be provided.

His Internet has been not working lately so he might no be able to get on. But I continually talk to him through the phone. IF you have any messages, I would gladly pass them on.

Ask him if he's aware that the article he posted exists on another site? Also ask him how he managed to achieve such an incredible typing speed.

I will. And I am quite sure he knows about the article on the site because he has told me how he is going to write another article that is also on the site where the alien insect? is on.

Then ask him whether he claims the authorship of these articles.

How do you know they are at the top of the food chain. They are hunted by many things. Things at the top of the food chain rarely are hunted for sport.

Predators hunt humans to but would you dispute humans as being the top of the food chain on their home planet? NEGATIVE! :D

when something is at the top of the food chain, nothing depends upon it to survive. on earth, humans are at the top of the food chain. you could wipe us out and most every other form of life would likely thrive afterwords.

there certainly doesn't seem to be any noticeable benefit that an Alien could provide an ecosystem.

Since his Internet seems to be working...I'm giving him one chance.

Answer the DAEMOS problem or I start locking and stuffing this one and the other one on the grounds of sheer plagarism.

Jax, I’m sorry but stuff like this really raises my hackles. I've been around these forums for a while now, granted I don't often participate, but it’s rather easy to pick out CnP. Happily it doesn't happen very often around here without the poster giving credit to the sources. That’s why I enjoy these forums the most, original, intelligent and entertaining discussion with a wide selection of personalities.

I actually think you didn't mean to take credit for this work because you didn't even attempt to change the layout or wording of the article.

Jax, there's still your claim that you typed it yourself: first in 30 minutes, then in an hour, both of which is pretty much impossible.

So why would you need to spend an hour typing something you didn't write?

Thank you for understanding. It took me 30 min to find it (printed copy) and around 1:40 to type it if you all want to know the facts.

On Alien/Insect similarity : an interesting fact is the ability of certain species of wasps to lay eggs inside an host ( IIRC one of those species is called ichneumon in French, but I don't know the English word for it ), which hatch into larvae that devour the host from the inside ( and even sometimes, from the oustide ) and spout out of it... Victims are other insects, or even big spiders...
