Well, that saves coming up with a new character model at least

Easy recognition, no need for explanation, we know the whys and wherefores.
I love Sabrine's reaction tho. :-D  :angelic:

So Thog was killed in that fight with Roy but it doesn't matter because HE'S BACK, BABY.

And he noticed the art upgrade.

Well, tbh, they would really be missing something without Thog in the party.

Thogs perception appears to be working

TBH, I'm not surprised he got to "pet the puppy"

Huh, I'd assumed Tarquin had him executed off-screen.

It's probably significant that Burlew is reemphasizing the "Evil people can still have friends and loved ones they care about" theme as the finale kicks off.

I think that's what makes them such a great team. Yes, they're evil, but they still trust each other to have their backs.
And I still think the scene where Sabine is being banished by "PowerWord: Good", and trying to say goodbye to Nale who is deaf and can't hear her, is still one of the great scenes showing their love.

There's that, but I suspect it'll also factor into the resolution of the story.

Also, if Thog went to Hades and got to pet the three headed puppy then presumably he's Neutral Evil. Sabine is Chaotic Evil and Nale is Lawful Evil. Under the circumstances that's probably relevant somehow.

And what if Thog told Charon (heavily implied) enough that he decided to keep an eye on Nale as well, and knows what the IFCC is up to, and reported it?

Weird isn't it, how Nale is simultaneously becoming a better person and also Evil incarnate?

He's matured. That gives him clearer thinking. That lets him do things with a certain emotional detachment and objectivity.

Usually, Evil people are driven by emotion. That makes them relatable, predictable.

Without it, they can become Ruthlessly Efficient. Ruthlessly Efficient Evil is basically Evil Incarnate.

I wasn't sure that would work, but I guess sacrificing a part of yourself you've depended upon for years counts.

I saw someone post that for just a second they thought Nale was going to sacrifice his penis.

After fighting for it, with a hot kinky girlfriend that could make your eternity miserable? That's just nuts

There's something weird to me on the emphasis on Nale and Sabine not banging in the last couple of strips. Maybe it's just Sabine thinking Nale was going to sacrifice her at that point?

Given the flashback and her being the only ally he had, her bringing Thog to the party was a very sensible move. Still it's nice he didn't Thog's too big and entertaining character to bring back just for a couple of strips.

Still they are presumably going to bite it before the end of the arc.

Alternate: Sabine is either pregnant via Nale, or hasn't had sex since he died (since she was busy looking for him). Possibly both.

I assumed they had "catch-up time" before the Fiends came in with their offer.

Considering the throw away line Sabine had about how she's the incarnation of sex and how often she did it, she might not be 'caught up' yet.
And if she's pregnant, her hormones would be shifting into overdrive...

Or simpler reason, Nale has a fully functional non-petitioner body again and it's free from the mental fog and presumably other debilitating issues that were alluded to earlier so naturally his first thought after feeling back to 100 percent and finding himself alone with his beautiful and beloved succubus girlfriend is that he wants to to fuck her.

Isn't there a thing after you've come close to dying you feel the need to cling to someone/have massive amounts of sex because "I'M ALIVE!!!!!"???

What I find wild is how Burlew is slowly making us root for characters that, on paper, should be completely irredeemable. The fact that we’re dissecting emotional nuances and romantic dynamics in a literal fiendish trio says a lot about the layers he's baked into this final arc. If Nale and Sabine go down, it's probably going to hit harder than it has any right to.
