It's not so much a Lakers comeback, as the Celtics completely falling apart. The Lakers still had fairly attrocious shooting for most of the 4th quarter, but the Celtics somehow managed to be worse.
Dude the Lakers were down by 13, whether or not you think the abundance of free throws were legit or not the fact remains that the Lakers were outhustling and outworking the rest of the Celtics in that fourth quarter. The only guy in a green jersey still fucking moving with about 5 minutes left was Rondo because the rest of the old men on that team couldn't keep up.
Yeah, the refs absolutely REFUSED to call fouls against the Lakers. There was one time that Gasol blatantly fouled KG and there was no whistle, but less than 5 seconds later they called a foul on KG. Less than two minutes later Gasol slapped another Celtic's arm when they were trying to shoot (I think it was Pierce, but I forget), and the refs didn't do anything. It was pretty infuriating, only because the final score was close enough that those foul shots alone (not counting others that weren't called) could have EASILY made the difference.
I think there were too many free throws given but the reason the fouls were so lopsided is because 1) the referees were wildly inconsistent, letting the teams play physcial for one moment and then calling those ticky tack lame ass fouls the next minute, and 2) because the Lakers were driving to the basket and drawing contact whereas the Celtics were being denied and forced to shoot from outside. Ray Allen is one of the best shooters in the past decade and even he wasn't hitting much and that's part of what killed Boston.
