This might not be such a terrible political cartoon if I had some idea of what the fuck was going on. (there's a dead sea cow that smells bad, but some people like the smell? Also, health care and "crazy spending" are somehow related to the smelly sea cow?)
something smells fishy about spending and healthcare.
Maybe a plausible hint that healthcare debate is a red herring.

I don't understand, why is this in the Terrible Political Cartoons thread?
"The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."

I was being sarcastic.

GHETTO EDIT: To clarify, in case you still don't get it.
I don't think it's a terrible political cartoon.
To be blunt, the whitewashing of Kennedy by my fellow liberals has been shameful.
He killed a woman. Yes, it was an accident, it happened a long time ago, and yes he did many good things since then. This does not absolve him of the sin. But apparently, to quite a few people(has a poster even mentioned it in the Ted Kennedy is Dead thread?) think it's okay to ignore what can charitably be called a major event in his life.

I thought it read a different way. The paper says: "Liberals: Deal with Bush-era abuses." And Obama is going "Noooo! Please!" because he doesn't want to actually do that.

You know, i always found Obamas slogan funny - i always had to think of the South park episode where zombies beggars ask for Braaiins "Chaaange".
But thats propably not the context of that sign.

Er, that actually is the context of that sign. Not the relation to South Park, but the concept that all black people are bums. Let it never be said that racists are intelligent.

Oh, ok.
I actually did not think of that stereotype, i just noted that it is the same word (Orthographically, at least).

Oh wow, I didn't even get the bit about change. I thought that was just reversing Obama's slogan and the racist bit was talking about having a black man in the White House.

When seeing these signs calling Obama a facist or claiming that Obama would be responsible for an George Orwellian world i doubt that these idiots actually know what the fuck it means. It almost seems like they look at protests against Bush, copy the signs and take them to their own protests. They seem to think that if these comparisons could be used against Bush they can be used against any politician so they put them on a sign tack the name Obama on and feel clever.
This Obama = Fascism bullshit is utterly nonsensical but apparently not very uncommon. It´s disturbing.

There have been some pretty good deconstructions showing that the rightards are simply parroting Glen Beck et.al for their slogans. The number of signs w/ misspellings shows that these people put zero thought into it- it's all about "gut".
