This year's Celtics-Bulls series might be one of the greatest in NBA history. Intensity one would expect in the Conference or NBA Finals in a first round series, daaamn.

Playoff-related, but somewhat indirectly: it'll be interesting to check whether Dalembert will be suspended for the beginning of next season for elbowing Hedo Turkoglu in the face, one game after Dwight Howard was suspended for elbowing Dalembert (and after Rajon Rondo wasn't suspended for throwing Heinrich into the scorer's table and then throwing a Urijah Faber-esque elbow at him).

Yeah.. I think punishment has been seriously lacking this whole postseason. I understand hard fouls, but there's a difference between playing all-out and just trying to hurt someone. Rondo should've been ejected at least once by now, arguably twice. I didn't see the Dalembert elbow, but I read that it was worse than Howard's, so that should be a suspension too.

In short, the NBA needs to make up its mind on what it wants to do about these things, rather than treating some people with kid gloves and some like big boys.

The thing that gets me a bit is that the horrible, horrible elbowing that got Dwight suspended for Game 6? It was the elbowing equivalent of a finger flick going by the replay. A quick, light motion that barely fazed Dalembert. That, to me, is the major reason why an NBA officiating team that included Joey freakin' Crawford, that Bald Bastard, didn't eject him or levy more than a technical on him, not some "lack of balls" like some people have been whining.

Except it was after the play, and it was clearly going for his head.. He should have been ejected by rule.

Anyways, Celtics won tonight. All in all I think it was a let down from the excitement of the past 6 games. I was hoping for the Bulls, but the Celtics finally got some bench play and obviously their experience paid off.

Lebron finally gets his due and earns the MVP trophy. I'm happy for him, he deserved it. However, I think (as a Cavs fan) it would've been nice to see him get robbed of it by Kobe so he plays with a massive chip on his shoulder in the Finals.

In the meantime, Cavs have the Hawks starting tomorrow. I'm saying Cavs in 5.

Cavs blow out another opponent. Woohoo!! And of course the MVP looks MVP-ish.

Nuggets beat Mavericks, now 2-0 Denver.

I'm pretty excited, all the teams that I want to win in this round are winning!

There's a lot of pissing and moaning about Kobe Bryant not winning the MVP out here in So Cal, AGAIN. Apparently the league should deliver the award to him on a bed of fucking rose petals every year while David Stern gives him a tug job. LeBron doesn't have the same supporting cast Kobe does, and the Lakers are a middle of the pack team without Pau Gasol.

Sick of the LA media coverage of the Lakers, and even though i'm an ex-Laker fan I hope Houston blows them out.

Thank you! I thought I was the only one.

Kobe pissed off too many people with his "Showtime" and "next Michael Jordan" comments. He needs to realize that he can't assume those mantles for himself, history will make those judgements.

Dammit, "Showtime" was the whole package, from Magic to the Lakergirls, not one player.

I'm barely 10 miles away from the Q in Cleveland and I'm even hearing that shit. I keep hearing how Kobe has all the intangibles that Lebron doesn't have, and that D-Wade is more valuable to his team because they're terrible without him. It's really annoying. :?

Now don't get me wrong, those two are both excellent players, but Lebron is just as good if not better. As for the Wade for MVP thing, he may be important to his team, but he barely got them to the playoffs with a winning record. Lebron led his team to the first seed, conference championship, best record in franchise history, and led his team in all major stat categories. That's impressive.

Led his team in ALL major stat caegories? You must be shitting me?

No, you're not, I had to look it up. Points, assists, steals and rebounds... fuck off. Has anyone ever done this before? It's been a fucking long time since I followed NBA (I used to go for the Hornets... the Charlotte Hornets) but I've never sen this before. Lebron is a dead set legend.

I shit you not. :D

Anyways, as if there was any doubt, the Cavs won again. By double digits. Again. Lebron threw down some more. Same old, same old.

Breaking news is that Derek Fisher and Rafer Alston have each been suspended for one game for their actions. Personally, I think Kobe should get punished, too. Hell, Rondo should still get suspended. Oh well.

Since when did Paul Pierce become Michael Jordan and thus the beneficiary of a whistle whenever some slight contact occurs?

It's telling that out of 27 points he scored, 14 of them were from the line.

Still, it was good to see the Magic stave off a run and put the game away in the 4th Quarter.

So over half of the people on ESPN thought the Rockets, Mavericks, and Hawks wouldn't win any more games. Despite losing Yao, the Rockets busted that up. They somehow found a way to absolutely destroy LA.

See, this is what I don't get about the whole Kobe vs. Lebron argument. When the Cavs have a shitty day, Lebron (like he just did last night in Game 3) puts the team on his back and fucking carries them to a win. When the Lakers hit a rough patch, where's Kobe? Oh yeah, scoring 15 points and doing neither jack nor shit. "Best closer in the game." Pfft. :wanker:
