By "the world", do you mean "the United States?" I suspect that western sexual attitudes are far more relaxed than those of, say, Africa or the Middle East. Even in the US, I'd guess that the really hardcore fundies probably have some pretty strange attitudes. For a long time, sodomy referred to anal or oral sex, and both were illegal in many states.

Yes, by "the world" I mean "the western world"/"modern society". I knew sodomy was at one time illegal in many states in the US, but didn't know about the laws against oral sex. How in the world could those be enforced?

Precisely. In fact, many of the old sodomy laws made an exception for heterosexual married couples. The law was literally written so that the same act was only illegal for certain people and not for others.

Yes indeed, March 14th. It's also traditional to have a "pie someone in the face" fund raising event in the engineering faculties at many universities. Last year, I was the first one to have two pies bought for me (which they nicely apply to the entirety of your head), but that didn't last long... our Student Council rep got 7 pies at once at the end of the week.
