A Syndromian-sect gathers in one of the few undespoiled parks to pray for peace.

In light of the wanton destruction and material poverty plaguing their country, Syndromians have turned to religion to escape the harshness of everyday life. As violence wanes with the systematic elimination of key insurgents, religious Syndromians have formed non-violent rallies to pray for peace, the end of violence, and the eventual departure of Allied occupation forces. Many in the rallies have resorted to 'mass meditation' and hunger strikes, amongst other practices.

TECHNOCRACY DELEGATION VISITS AMELIA SHIPYARDS

After a brief stay in Astoria, where Technocracy delegates outlined their trade proposal, the trade talks were moved to the coastal city of Amelia, home to Republic's shipyards and naval engineering school.

Delegates toured both facilities and spoke to the head of the National Shipbuilding Bureau, who explained why the FCS is a good choice for short and medium range trade between SD.net world's nations.

The delegates seemed pleased with the visit. Talks are to continue in the capital, as representatives of both governments work out a deal which is beneficial to both parties. Rumor is that payment for the ships is going to come in the form of unspecified military hardware.

Civil War Rocks New Gottland!

What began as a peaceful protest against High Lord Rufus the third has escanated into a full civil war efter the local lord Nisse Hult mobilised the local state militia brigade after the protest turned into fullscale riots.
The militias full mobilization caused the situation to go from widespread riots into a shooting war as a majority sided with the rebels and joined them in the fighting against loyalists.

The High Lord declared a state of emergency and mobilized four Militia brigadess from the reserves. The wise leader asked the fellow leaders of the FUNGAL AXIS to send aid and peace enforcing troops.

He also ordered the army, both battalions, to move to the outskirts of Dracoville contain the violence and a patrol boat the investigate the why communications with Kuloville has been lost. New Gottland has never since the civil war, when the High Lord drove out the pirates from the southern part of the island, seen such bloodshed and loss of human life.

High Lord Rufus, still attending the International Conference in st. George, when asked if it's pirate infiltrators who has started the uprising answered: "Why would they return to a small and mostly peaceful island shortly after losing a major base?"

Gottish soldiers prepare for battle.

At the sudden news of Gottland's descent into civil war, Prime Minister Shroom was captured in the middle of a spit-take before stating that he stands resolutely by the side of his ally, High Lord Rufus.

The Mushroom Military is preparing to send a peacekeeping force of 500 men and 3 Halifax frigates - as the small size of New Gottland limits its civil war to a scale lesser than that of Syndromia - and urges allies in both the FUNGAL AXIS and the O.M.S.K. Pact to commit peacekeeping forces as well. Due to the reported scale of New Gottland's civil war, analysts state that Shroomania's planned involvement in New Gottland will not overstretch the Mushroom Military, which is also occupied with its Syndromian obligations.

The Sovereign Duchy of Baerne is prepared to commit two amphibious regiments, a destroyer, two frigates, and a Automated Commerce Vessel full of food to New Gottland. We value our allies in the FUNGAL AXIS. We are not commited in Syndromia, so such expenditures are affordable.

Embarkation and departure will take place immediately.

In other news, His Grace's Undersea Habitat Yellow Submarine was completed today. While still uninhabited, we expect many to sign up for the honor of pioneering undersea habitation. Yellow Submarine is expected to support itself by seawed cultivation.

Information on this is pending, though the Baernish government requests satellite targeting data from any or all of those nations with satellites

The Red Techocracy is highly alerted at the news of advanced arms being procured by rogue elements, from both New Gottland and the Duchy of Baerne.

It is clear that such arms could be supplied either by a powerful nation with a modern arms industry, or by a rogue state selling off it's procured stockpiles of weapons.

Alerted by this news, the Red Techocracy assumes that the New Gottland insurgency threat is dire enough to warrant inspection.

It kindly asks Zoria to allow a flyover by a Foxbat MiG-25 machine for recon, with possible later overflights by bombers to [kick the...~~~ garbled transmission] strike insurgent positions with precise strikes and possibly eliminate the destroyer fallen in rogue hands, if it's existence is confirmed.

Confirmation of it's existence was provided by Baernish Intelligence agents detailed to provide same. Due to total surprise, no casulties were sustained by the Baernish Navy, though the fate of our intelligence operatives is currently unknown.

OPERATION SYNDROMIAN STRIKE

We're Heading Home!


Shroomanian peacekeepers in Syndromia begin their disengagement after leaving a present for the remaining insurgent forces.

The Mushroom Military has announced that no less than half of the Shroomanian contingent of the Allied Peacekeeping Committee for Syndromia has begun its withdrawal. Soon, 2,000 Shroomanian soldiers will be back in Shroomanian soil, returning to their families.

The Shroomanian mothership-submarine Yer Mom is also returning to home waters, presumably to re-arm and re-supply.

It is expected that the withdrawal of peacekeeping forces will remove a burden on the nation's economy and military, freeing it to pursue other objectives.

In other news, 500 Shroomanian peacekeepers are on their way to New Gottland - having boarded the newly purchased Republic-made Fast Commerce Ships. They will be accompanied by 3 Halifax frigates and, upon landing, will commence peacekeeping operations immediately.

Military and intelligence analyst have expressed concern regarding the situation in New Gottlan and the suspicions of weapons proliferation linking the New Gottland uprising to not only Syndromia, but also to the Voluntaryist Libertopia and to certain international crime cartels. The New Gottland uprising may be the first (or second) of many more foreseeable crises to come if the root cause of these conflicts cannot be contained.

In light of this, Shroomania has also requested its ally - the Bear Republic - to send some surveillance airships to Gottish airspace.

Understanding the plight of our nation the recent military upsurge has caused, and the draining commitment to Syndromia over the last several months, we have opted not to put any of our soldiers in peril since the threat, we believe, can be contained with the forces of the legitimate Government of New Gottland.

This is why, after a few recon flights over Kuloville, we opted for bomb strikes, which our plane delivered taking off the airbase in Syndromia, which have successfully decimated some heavy weapons emplacements in Kuloville.

The Republic of N'ton apologizes for it's unavailability, as it was focusing on domestic matters. We will be sending a delegation to the International Summit.

We are prepared to sign the Law of the Sea, but we are still looking for a full document of the Law of the Sea without resorting to digging though the multiple amendments and compromises.

The Republic of N'ton supports the banning of any form of Nuclear, Biological or Chemical weapons, in light of the widespread effects the use of these weapons could have on our precious archipelago.

We also support the discussion of the N'ton Affiliate Free Trade Accord (NAFTA), which, in conjunction with the Fuck Yeah Trade Organization (FYTO), is designed to ease shipping restrictions and costs, reduce tariffs, as well as coordinate shipping to ensure fast and efficient delivery of goods. We hope that more nations will be interested in joining this group.

Finally, we oppose the weaponization of space, and hope that open access to space can be ensured for all nations.



The Republic of N'ton is pleased with the current plans for the state of Syndromia, and notes that given it's central location, it would be an ideal place for a true free market economy, not unlike the Hong Kong of Old Earth.

Shipping Shroom Seas

Shroomanian shipping corporations have entered negotiations with the Republic to license the Fast Commerce Ship design so local Shroomanian shipyards can produce them and export them to fellow FUNGAL AXIS nations.

The National Shipbuilding Bureau will gladly sell the FCS license to Shroomania, in exchange for an investment package in the Republican Shipyard. Expansion of existing facilities to accomodate parallel construction of six ships, and delivery of a floating drydock will grant Shroomanian companies a manufacturing and modification license for the FCS through a period of 15 years, with the possiblity to extend it in the future.

The NSB hopes this is an acceptable proposal, but is open for further negotiation.

The Republic of N'ton would also like to license the production and use of the Fast Commerce Ship design, as it is vastly superior to our own. We would accept the same terms as have been given to Shroomania, scaled down to suit our fledgling economy.



The Republic of N’ton expresses concern for the state of New Gottland, and offers its token peacekeeping force to help crush the rebels. When peace returns, we also offer construction materials to rebuild infrastructure.
