I've bashed out a simple policies page (at Help:Policies) linked from the main page and the Help:Contents page. Now I can't tell Shep we need to warn them first...

Just got done with the Death Star II information: Death Star.

I'm thinking about splitting the page into two, one for each Death Star. What do you think?

I don't think there's enough information yet. Maybe later when there's the whole story of the DS project, but even then it probably fits fine in one article.

Update to my Wiki woes: I just got a glut of e-mails that were the lost notifications of private messages and watched topics and such. Perhaps the messages were just redshifted by that black hole.

A link on the main page is good, but maybe it should come with a "work in progress" or "this section is user-created" disclaimer for the time being. I'm not sure the wiki is up to a publishable standard just yet.

Cheapo edit: Apart from having articles that really aren't even up to highschool textbook standard (evolution is a "species of creatures turning into another?), there's also articles like the Jews entry; we all know it's an over-the-top joke, but suppose someone who doesn't know the board stumbles onto the wiki and reads that; do you really want people to think SDN endorses crackpot theories about Jewish world domination?

I'm just saying it might be better to get the disclaimer out of the way on the main page rather than hope every bit of idiocy gets fixed before someone who isn't in on the joke sees it.

I'd prefer a more permanent solution to the 'offensive in-joke' problem myself: it's one of the reasons I started that 'policy' thread here, to get some consensus before dictating policy.

I left the help:policy page unprotected deliberately: I only had a few moments to bang it up, but I wanted something there in the short term for Shep. I'd welcome any input you've got across the board.

Since they're unreferenced and include heaps of fanon terms and information, they should certainly be cleaned up. I'll be busy until tomorrow afternoon, unfortunately, so let him know somehow (since I have no fucking idea who he even *IS*, but he's dropping a CnP job every minute or so.

I'm adding a sternly worded letter of complaint to his talk page now - since we don't know who the hell he is here (if anyone) I think that's the fastest way to contact him.

What does it matter to actually have nations of the world? Is SD.net or SWvsST have anything to do with real world nations other then some topics that are included within a forum of the main board.

1) The debate.
2) The stuff surrounding the debate, board history, debate history, logical fallacies.
3) Users.
