Jay probably got banned...

...again.

Wouldn't be a shock. I informed an admin about him months ago for trying to circumvent bans, as a simple IP check would show that he's sneaking past them. It could have been just a slow response.

ST.com doesn't even do IP bans, so why would they be bothered to do that much? A poster by the name of "Trip" has been banned multiple times for violating every part of the TOS and has stalked other members in RL yet he still remains.

I attempted to read the thread in question, but that much concentrated stupidity makes my head want to explode. I'll need some serious drugs before I can make heads or tails of it.

Basic synopsis:
Jay flaming us, calling us flaming liars, making insults toward my non-existent wife (even after I told him I wasn't married), and generally repeating the same thing over and over again while calling Darth Servo "Jared" as if it's an insult. For a short while I get into an arguement with Wishfire Alpha over cloning and him trying to change his arguement after I destroy his before he calls me an idiot and leaves.

Then we get to present with Phoenix essentially being Jay and replacing every arguement with "Darkstar rocks. Wong is wrong" and shitloads of ad hominem towards us because we are actually rude to idiots.

A artificial singularity should be able to eat any laser phaser turbolaser or torp of any configuration.

I have this crazy picture of a ship with a micron thick singularity surrounding the ship like a trek shield. Should have my head examined.

P.S. this is a sleeper idea. I'll be trolling trektard forums to see how long it takes someone to claim this little bit of wank as their own.

What is and isn't possible to use to make shields. My mind. Funny enough I might be able to make working shields, if I study harder.

Wow, not even Stewart Davies claimed to be able to do the scientifically impossible (IIRC, correct me if I'm wrong). But that's about the only thing which distinguishes this guy from Standard Trekkies.

Why does it even matter? Any war between the Empire and the Federation would be won before any ground combat ever occured. Any succesfull attempts at ground-level resistance would meet with orbital bombardment and that's it. Federation territory has many worlds ; the Empire doesn't any any particular one.

Jay was apparently scrabbling for every "advantage" he could possibly find, which was why he even bothered bringing up the cloning angle in the first place, it seems. But like you said, it wouldn't matter in the long term with the realities of orbital bombardment. Jay apparently enver understood this.

I never really understood these people who pretend to be something other than what they really are. If you don't know jack shit about physics, don't pretend you do. If you have no idea how difficult it is to get an engineering degree from a reputable school, don't talk bullshit about how easy it is.

No doubt these people think they can obliterate a disadvantage in education and knowledge with clever trash talk, but bluffing really only works well in front of ignorant kiddies.

I like it how someone brought up a very good analysis of the Endor ground battle and a trekkie comes up and say "TEDDY BEARS TO THE RESCUE " instead of actually refuting it. After this, the Trekkies simply ignore the post.

Jay and pheonix both just posted, but it looks like pheonix does nothing but try to protect Jay's standard array of mindless, flailing insults and scientific ignorance.

The man claims to have served in the military but doesn't understand the concept of a "clear field of fire" or the idea that disobeying a direct order from the ultimate authority in the Empire, who can kill you with a glance, is a bad thing.

Not to mentiont he blatant hypocrisy he repeatedly shows through his constant insults and random screaming of "Coward!"

I was actually writing that in my response to his Wall of Ignorance, but a case of spyware that I just flushed broke IE, so I'm typing from Opera now.

Another example of him not knowing standard military tactics: He thinks that it's perfectly all right for Sisko to charge screaming at an entire army. Any real soldier (any person with an IQ above that of a boar, actually) would understand that blind heroics that do nothing but get you killed are stupid. I compare it to one ending of Mortal Kombat 4 where Liu Kang is confronted by the most powerful sorcerer in the world. Rather than simply admiting defeat, he shouts "Not today!" and does a flying kick at the guy..... and is promptly blown to pieces by his eye lasers without any difficulty.
