Does this mean sitting back until [non-Muslims] overcome us? Islam says: Kill in the service of Allah those who may want to kill you! Does this mean that we should surrender [to the enemy]? Islam says: Whatever good there is exists thanks to the sword and in the shadow of the sword! People cannot be made obedient except with the sword! The sword is the key to paradise, which can be opened only for holy warriors!

There are hundreds of other [Koranic] psalms and hadiths [sayings of the prophet] urging Muslims to value war and to fight. Does all that mean that Islam is a religion that prevents men from waging war? I spit upon those foolish souls who make such a claim.

Well, actually Khomeini hasn't been saying anything lately as he's been wormfood for about the past fifteen years or so.

The only thing different about it, and what you find in the madrassas in Pakistan, Wahabbist mosques in Saudi Arabia, is the date. It wasn't composed in 1981, or 1975, but in 1942, long before many of the supposed "evils" that the west inflicted on the Middle East/Arabs/Moslems/whoever, which of course incited them to Jihad.

So? We already know that back in the 1900, as a result of Britain occupation of Egypt, the fundamentalist movement had already begun to turn violent and irrational against the Brits.

The sole difference was back then, Egypt was prosperous enough and had a good enough education that most of these fundies returned as politicians in the secular mould as opposed to raving lunatics.
